Pink Saturday

Good morning pinkie friends! I'm a little late sharing today, sorry! It's been a bit of a hectic week with my company and physio appointments.
But here I am! Please join Beverly at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ for her pretty parade of pink participants.

Since time was an issue this week, I'm going back into my pink archives to share this with you.

I wanted to have a wreath hanging in the dining room so I took an old wreath and glued in pink roses, peonies, and other flowers. Then I added some teacups and voila! A teacup wreath!I am heading to the beach with Hubby and one of my little grandsons today so I'll stop by and visit you all later. Thanks for visiting and I hope you all have a wonderful pink weekend.

Spiritual Sundays

Hello everyone~ I'm back from my holiday and my middle son and his sweet little family have returned home to Vancouver.
It was a wonderful yet hectic time and unfortunately I was laid up with my back for most of it, going to physio therapy about every second day during that time period.
Yet, I feel so blessed to have seen my boy and his family twice this year! Since they live on the other side of the country, it is very difficult for us to get together. We miss each other so badly when we're apart.
On a brighter note, they are going to bless our family with our first granddaughter around Christmastime and we're looking forward to her arrival! She will be the first baby girl born into our family of seven boys; I had three sons and we have four precious little grandsons! God is good!!

My post today is taken from a beautiful photo of a lighthouse taken in our fair city just a few days ago. I cannot take credit for it but I wanted to share it with you. It reminds me of the song, "The Lighthouse," penned by Ronnie Hinson.

"And I thank God for the Lighthouse,
I owe my life to Him,
For Jesus is the Lighthouse
and from the rocks of sin
He has shone around me
that I can clearly see,
If it wasn't for the Lighthouse
where would this ship be?"

"In Him was life; and the life was the light of men." ~ John 1:4
Indeed, where would any of us be without Jesus?
