Spiritual Sundays

Hello everyone. It's that time again; Spiritual Sunday, and I have not much to share today.
Hubby and I are getting back into a normal routine which we haven't been in since before Christmas. We have been so busy and I have been so tired too because of it. But you know what? When I come before the Lord and just sit and meditate on Him, He somehow takes all that weariness away and He replaces it with His peace. His peace just kind of takes over. It is amazing really!
But then God is an amazing God! He is an awesome God!
This brings to mind one of my favourite hymns....a Swedish Folk Melody, written by Carl Boberg who lived between the years of 1859-1940.

How Great Thou Art

O Lord, my God! When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy pow'r throughout the universe displayed,
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee.
How great thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee.
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
That is only the first stanza and chorus, but there is such a powerful message contained in those. I am so in awe that He made the world and all that is in it and yet He cares about every little thing that concerns me. I am insignificant and yet He says I am the apple of His eye! Who could not worship that kind of God? Bless His name forever!
WHEN WE KNOW THAT GOD'S HAND IS IN EVERYTHING,
WE CAN LEAVE EVERYTHING IN GOD'S HAND.
May you be blessed this Sunday and this weekend. Please click on the Spiritual Sundays button on my sidebar to be refreshed by other testimonials and stories.

Pink Saturday~ Girling It up!

Good morning & Happy Pink Saturday to you all. Thank you to our gracious hostess Beverly for inviting us all to participate.

I have a lot of pink in my home as you will see by the pictures I'm about to share with you. When my sons all moved out, I went about girling up the place.
Hubby was a very good sport about it all and allowed me to do just that. Besides, he has his own room with a big screen TV and a table you can put your feet up on! He can eat chips to his heart's content in there!

So.....Please do come in and have a seat and take a look around.

See what I mean? I warned you! Two pink wing-backed chairs covered with a french moire fabric. Pink lace on the windows. A shade of pink on the walls! I am about to put slipcovers on those chairs but wanted you to see them in all their pinkness before I did that!

A crystal hurricane lamp holds a pink candle, which can't hold a candle to the little pink birdie next to it! Then there is my cup of coffee in my pink Rose Chintz teacup.
A potted pink rose which I made just for fun.
Now, if you care to venture down the hallway, you will see a little pink wreath which I made for the closet door. I am getting ready to welcome Spring into my home! No signs of it yet, but I know it's coming; the calendar says March 20th!Thank you for coming and before you leave, please go check out my Give-Away on my March 3rd post. All the details are there for you to enter if you wish. Have a wonderful Pink Day everyone! Be sure to stop by Beverly's "How Sweet the Sound" ~ http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ for more friendly pinks!
