Today is REDnesday & Outdoor Wednesday!

Hello everyone~ I am joining Sue and all her lovers of red again today for REDnesday. Please click on the link http://suelovescherries.blogspot.com/ to go visit her and the other participants.
Today I would like to share with you my red-rimmed candy dish. It matches the punch bowl set and the salt/pepper shakers I shared with you in earlier posts. They had stopped producing this glassware and when I saw this in a thrift store, I was overjoyed!
Now let's put some goodies in it.

Please be sure to check out the other reds at Sue's "It's A Very Cherry World."

And also check out my Outdoor Wednesday post below! Have a great day everyone.

Outdoor Wednesday

Good morning everyone~ I am taking part in Susan's Outdoor Wednesday for the first time. I have many outdoor photos so I thought I would share some with you today.

My hubby and I just spent a month on vacation and for most of that time, we spent it on our province's beautiful beaches.

This beach I am about to show you is called Basin Head and it is on the south shore of Prince Edward Island. It boasts white sands which are closer to pink, in my opinion; and they sing!! When you walk on the sand, it actually makes a noise. Singing Sands, it is called..... Amazing!

This is the 'basin' which flows out into the Atlantic Ocean. As you can see, the beach is very busy. This is a bridge which crosses from one section of the beach to the other. The current flows from a basin into the ocean, hence the name, Basin Head. The young people and some 'older' people like to jump off the bridge into the water which then takes you out into the ocean or the basin, whichever way the current is flowing that day. The sand is so pretty and wonderful underfoot. It is also very dry. Someone had dug two very deep holes, about three feet down, and there was no sign of water!

These guys are on one of the many sandbars, playing with their pup.

Off in the distance is a ferry which takes you to the Magdalene Islands. Our beautiful Island is surrounded by beaches all the way around! The sand on the south shore is a different colour than the sand on the north shore.

These guys were busy building a sand castle. It is hard to see, but there was a crab right in the middle of it.A bit closer...... Can you see the crab? Boys will be boys!! I oughtta know! The sky was bright blue the day we were down there and this guy was playing with his wind surfer.

The water was beautiful, almost a silvery aqua and full of sparkles. It was a lovely day on Prince Edward Island!

Thanks for coming along today and I hope you will go visit Susan and all the other participants by clicking on the link http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ or the Outdoor Wednesday button on my sidebar. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
