A Quiet Tea Time

"There are times when we stop, we sit still. We listen and breezes from a whole other world begin to whisper." ~ James Carroll

Welcome friends to Tea Time! I do hope you all had a wonderful week filled with happy occasions.

Hubby is still on vacation and we have been enjoying the break from routine....
We took a short trip to New Brunswick for a few days where we visited family. Of course we have been enjoying our beautiful beaches too now that the nice weather has come back.

"Only in quiet waters do things mirror themselves undistorted. Only in a quiet mind is adequate perception of the world." ~ Hans Margolius

I felt like a quiet tea time today so I am using  my creamy white Skye McGhie teacup called Chantilly Lace. I added a few sprigs of Queen Anne's Lace which snuggle up to my teacup. This lovely lacy flower/weed is growing profusely all over the Island right now. Bernideen, you would love it!

This is along one of the main streets going into Charlottetown. Too bad the tide is low. It would have been prettier had the tide been high.

The Queen Anne's Lace below is growing behind the canteen at the beach. I love the weathered shingles with the Lace and red rock which the Island is known for.

Back to our tea ~ I arranged some creamy white roses in a silver coffee pot which has a bit of a patina on it.

I don't often allow my silver tea service to tarnish but for today's post, I think it lends a certain old-fashioned appeal.

Sometimes I like lemon in my tea and I always take it black.

"The secret to a well balanced life is a cup of tea in one hand and a good book in the other." ~ Unknown

A good book or magazine makes a relaxing tea time even more enjoyable.

"Better to be deprived of food for three days, than tea for one." ~ Ancient Chinese Proverb

My second son is arriving home this week and I can't wait to see him! I am so thankful that our children who live off Island, make an effort to come home at least once a year!

I really do admire those ladies who host a blog party every week and never take a break from it but I feel I must and I hope you understand. There will be no Tea Time next week but it will resume on the 17th of August. I hope to see you then.

Now I'm wondering what you have to share. Teacups/coffee cups, teapots/coffee pots/chocolate pots, creamers, sugar bowls, and tea spoons, all are welcome. I enjoy seeing your trips to a Tea Shop and we tea ladies love a new tea time recipe, so please feel free to share any of these as well as your tablescapes.

Thank you for visiting and have a beautiful day!
