But what on earth is half so dear -
So longed for - as the hearth of home? ~ Emily Bronte

Welcome sweet friends! I hope you all had a fabulous Valentine's Day weekend with your loved ones! Today is the 15th of February and that means the month is half over. Yay! Spring is that much closer.

The other day I posted a Romantic Tea for Sweethearts and did some reminiscing with my hubby. You can find that post here.

We enjoyed a wonderful dessert, Banana Split Cake, which you can find the recipe for here.

Sweet with play and calm with sleep.

  1. Oh my, that is a scrumptious looking dessert. I just may have to try it!
And thanks for being such a great hostess!

  2. Dear Sandi:
Congratulations to those featured posts. They were all wonderful and your dessert is amazing. I did print it out and hope to try it when I'm moved. I think it would be a lovely dessert for a group of people! Have a great week.

    1. Bernideen, this dessert is perfect for a group! I have often made it for just that and everyone enjoys it.

  3. Your banana split cake looks so good I actually squealed, haha.

Thanks for hosting the party, Sandi- have a tea-lightful week!

  4. That's wonderful that No Place Like Home is getting bigger each week! Thank you for hosting and have a great week!

  5. Sandi, thank you so much for featuring my Fresh Strawberry Frosting. I'll be coming back on Thursday to link the Orange Vanilla Butter Cake that's underneath the frosting. Doesn't look like you are on Twitter, so I wanted to let you know that I've tweeted a link to your lovely site.

  6. Hi Sandi-what a nice variety of features, very nice. Thanks so much for hosting and happy Monday to you!

  9. I couldn't find your email to let you know your "party post" is also on this website: It looks like you completely copied your post and placed it on there's in including post title.

Thank for featuring my thrifting finds and for hosting.

  10. They site also has you inlinkz button on it, and every time some links here it is also showing on their site too

  11. I checked the site Cathy mentioned and, sure enuf, your whole post and all our links are there....makes one a little nervous and I'm wondering why it all is showing up there..??

  12. Always a joy to come here on Mondays Sandi! Your banana split dessert looks absolutely fabulous, oh my! I will be saving that recipe for sure! All the features are just lovely, enjoyed each one, and so happy that your link party is growing! Hope you have a blessed and wonderful day :)

  13. I just checked there too. Strange and a little scary. Sandi's entire post is there but it loses something in the translation -- for example, instead of "our dwelling place" in the quote from Edgar Guest, it says "our condo"!? Almost seems as if it was translated into another language and then back into English.

  14. Hi Sandi,
That is so wonderful that your son commented on your relationship with your hubby. You really must be a wonderful example for them. I love your red and pink transferware tea time and your dessert looks so fabulous! John 3:16 is my favourite bible verse and it is so nice to hear it for Valentine's Day! Thank you

  15. Not linking today, Sandi, as I don't really have anything link-worthy! But I had to come by and see all the lovelies. Spring seems so far away from my vantage point here in northern Michigan. I'm hoping I can get home tomorrow, but more snow is in the forecast!!
Your Valentine's dessert looks yummy! xo Deborah
