Roses for Pink Saturday

Hello sweet bloggerettes~ I hope you all had a splendid week. I know I did, and thank you all so very much for your lovely  comments on my feature in the magazine!

Are you ready to celebrate another weekend of pink with our hostess Beverly

We enjoy the beauty and colour of pink in so many ways, from sunrises to sunsets and all the flowers in between.

"I adore simple pleasures. They are the last refuge of the complex." ~ Oscar Wilde

I had a pretty bouquet of lush pink roses.....

"Pleasure is the flower that passes; remembrance, the lasting perfume." ~ Jean De Boufflers

When they began to fade, I decided I would enjoy them just a while longer in my frenchy teapot.
The faded beauty of rose petals began to settle onto the table around the teapot. Beautiful!

Faded rose petals; delicate and fragile, timeless like old linen and lace...

They remind me of the quote by Dale Carnegie {1888-1955} who wrote, " One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today."

I hope that your day is like a beautiful rose. And even as it fades into twilight, enjoy the colours of the sunset while you can! There is only one like it!

Thank you for visiting and I wish you a delightful weekend filled with pink splendor and much love.

Sharing from my heart~ Sandi

  1. Hi Sandi, Such beautiful pink roses. I adore the quote from Oscar Wilde. Rose petals find a way to stay with me after the a bouquet has wilted. I put them on paper towels to add to a pretty dish to enjoy.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

  17. I love that quote, I have heard it before, I think it is so true, and I try really hard to enjoy the here and now and not dream of some other place that might be.
Your roses are so pretty and they do retain a certain charm even as they begin to fade.

  33. Sandi, congratulations on your magazine feature. I am still trying to find a copy. I think Kay Ellen is featured in that issue, too. I am so happy for you.

I love when the petals begin to fall, too, and I always leave them there for a few day. The funny thing is that it drives my mother crazy. She doesn't even like the blooms full opened. She prefers buds.

    Happy Pink Saturday, dear Sandi.♥
