Tea Time Tuesday

Hello my lovely tea friends and Welcome to another Tea Time Tuesday! Can you believe this is my 41st tea party and here we are in the month of November already. Time to think about Christmas decorating and baking. I love planning for the Holidays, don't you?

"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream." ~ C S Lewis

Personally, I think it is very important to set goals for yourself. No matter how old you are, it is important to dream a new dream, set a new goal. In fact, it is our dreaming which keeps life interesting! Perhaps you will never see your dream come to fruition but it doesn't hurt to reach for the stars. If nothing else, it is a growing experience.

"Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends whom we choose." ~ Tehyi Hsieh
Today's tea post is a bit of a hodge podge.
First of all, I would like to share with you a couple more of my tea-for-one sets.
The first one was a gift from my hubby who knows I love the colour aqua. There's nothing fancy about this set, just the lovely creamy soft robin egg blue colour. It is made by Ganz.

One of the reasons I collect these adorable tea-for-one sets is because I find they come in handy when you just want a small pot of tea for yourself. They also come in handy when you have company and several folks want their own special cup of tea. This way, everyone gets to enjoy their own brand.
Here it is accompanied by my Royal Albert "Veronica" teacup which I am using as a votive candle holder. Veronica is my favourite teacup but unfortunately it has a broken handle. From the aqua roses to the beautiful gold trim on the fine china teacup and saucer, I think it is a stunning teacup and rather than put it away where it cannot be seen and enjoyed, I use it as a votive holder.

Isn't she pretty? Love the little bouquet inside the cup itself. From the lovely handle to the pedestal bottom of the teacup, she is a real beauty. I can't remember who gave it to me. It wouldn't surprise me if I were to discover that my mother had given it to me because we both love aqua.
The next one is a favourite tea-for-one set and it is made by Skye McGhie. Like all the Cream Lace patterns made by this company, this one is also adorned with the lacey cutouts and the Fleur-de-lis on it.

This cute little pot below was a gift from my maternal grandfather's second wife. It was the only time I ever accompanied my Grampy and her shopping, and we had gone into a department store where I spied this little teapot. From what I gather, she wasn't one to gift too many people, so it holds much sentimental value for me. It was a lovely day which is forever etched into my memory!

" It has been well said that tea is suggestive of a thousand wants, from which spring the decencies and luxuries of civilization." ~ Agnes Repplier

I have an assortment of goodies for you today. Chocolate, cranberry oatmeal bars, and mincemeat tarts. So, please do sit yourself down and join me for a hot cup of tea, won't you. Cranberry-apple tea is perfect for Autumn. Or perhaps you would prefer a cup of hot chocolate topped off with a dollop of whipped cream! You're welcome to partake of either and I hope you enjoy the refreshments and company today. " With God's help we will do mighty things." ~ Psalm 60:12

Thank you for stopping by for Tea Time Tuesday. I hope you have enjoyed your visit and will come by again soon. If you would like to partake in my tea party, please let me know in your comment and I will add your link to my post. Just share a teacup, tea pot, or some china used in a tea. You may also do coffee, iced tea, or chocolate. A poem, tea quote, or scripture verse would be most welcome. The Tea Time Tuesday button near the top of my sidebar is available for you to use in your post if you wish. Please link back to me so your visitors can find their way here and visit with all my lovely participants.

  1. My favorite tea for one is your white one with the fancy cut outs! You always have such delicious looking treats, too. I'd love to be included this week.

I thought it was fun that we both have a quote from C.S. Lewis this week. Thanks so much for having this tea time for us to enjoy. ♥♫

  2. Sandi,
You have a wonderful collection of tea for one sets! But, my heart flutters at the Royal Albert tea cups. This one is so beautiful. Great idea to use it for a votive. It is too pretty to stash away for sure.

  9. Hi Dear Sandi ~ I adore your single serving tea sets! And it amazes me that you know where each one came from and cherish them so dearly. You may be surprised to learn I only own one teapot! I purchased it because of the pretty flowers and that's all we use when company comes. Your goodies look delicious, as always, and I do look forward to starting to plan for Christmas! Blessings! xox

  11. I'll take some hot chocolate, and the treats look wonderful! I love the tea for ones. I had one but it broke a few years back (not sure whether to blame the kids or the cat!). I'm keeping my eye out for replacements!

  13. Hi Sandi :) I'm so hoping to be able to get a tea post up sometime tomorrow, but am super busy working on making Christmas Stockings for my Etsy shoppe; which by the way, I did a post today for a Giveaway for one of my Stockings, so I hope you will stop by and check it out :)

Love your tea for one sets, especially the soft robin's egg blue, and the Royal Albert cup is a lovely match for it. One of these days I hope to find a tea-for-one set that I just can't live without to add to my little teacup collection.

Have a wonderful evening, warmest hugs, Brenda

  15. Okay, Sandi, I'll take the cranberry oatmeal bar and a little pot of Earl Grey. I only have one tea for one set, and I use it quite often, as I don't want to make a big pot of tea for just myself. They really are quite convenient. I especially like your creamy white one. I'm a huge white fan...the pureness and simplicity of white just does it for me.

I also love your idea for using the teacup for a votive holder. Smart thinking!!!

I hope you are doing well. You continue to be in my prayers.

    Love,
    Patti

PS I am linking up today and my post is up

  20. Hi Sandi,
thank you for adding my link to your post and for hosting this wonderful event.
I am fully with you. This robin egg blue teaset is so adorable. Also the Royal Albert Victoriana looks wonderful and together they are unbeatable. What a clever idea to us it as a candle holder. The white one with the fleur de lys is again very charming, I have never seen that before. You combine everything to a perfect harmony. Thank you for showing your wonderful treasures and thank you for the yummy goodies, you offered. This tea visit really warmed my heart.
    Greetings, Johanna

  24. Hello Sandi
It is goals in life, or something to look foward to, that keep a person going. Although my father was quite ill but still mobile before he passed away last year that is the one thing tha kept him alive - setting small goals for every day.
I like the aqua tea for one set and it got me to thinking, my mother always liked purple (guess I come by it naturally) and I still look for clothes in any shade for her in the nursing home.
Thanks for hosting tea each week.
    Judith

  28. Hi Sandy, I adore the Veronica tea cup. Royal Albert china is special. I'm glad you still use it even though you're not drinking tea from it. It is beautiful to display. I like your tea-for-one sets also. You have set up a lovely tea today. Nice to how you prefaced your post, talking about dreams. I agree, we all need to hope and to dream; and we need to add a strong dose of faith and hard work. I thank God for my dreams, and for the dreams that I have been able to reach through Him.
Have a blessed week, Sandi. You are a very special lady and I treasure our weekly visits for tea!
    Hugs, Beth
