Spiritual Sundays-

Hello Friends. Hubby and I are just finishing up our vacation and I was thinking about what I could share this weekend. We enjoyed our vacation so much and we didn't go very far either. We just enjoyed being together. The weather for the most part cooperated and we were able to get to the beach a lot, which we truly enjoy. We like to find a quiet spot where we can talk, pray, or just go for a nice walk. We enjoy the solitude there.

While on vacation, I have been burdened somewhat with a few prayer requests so I thought I would share them with you.....

As you all know, my mother has gotten home from the hospital but she is not recuperating as well as she ought to. She will be eighty years old in a couple week's time, and I would like to see her enjoy her birthday; perhaps even enjoy a piece of birthday cake! She needs to regain her strength and develop an appetite. She is constantly nauseated at this point.

My cousin's husband Jim, was just diagnosed with a brain tumor/tumors and they have given him only months to live; that is with chemo/radiation treatment! My heart is so burdened for them. They need our prayers for strength and the hard time ahead of them. I pray the Lord would have His will done concerning them.

Then there is Amy who is also fighting cancer. She is the daughter of Debbie at There's An Angel On My Front Porch http://debbie-jeremiah3017.blogspot.com/
Amy is in hospital right now and is having a great deal of difficulty breathing and she is in an extremely weakened condition. She is only a young lady and her family has asked for prayer on Amy's behalf.

We in the Christian community believe in the power of prayer and I would like to ask each one of you to pray for these people.

I believe PRAYER CHANGES THINGS. There is no communication in the world better than the power of prayer! "The prayer of a righteous man/woman is powerful and effective." - James 5:16

GOD'S LOVE DOES NOT KEEP US FROM TRIALS; IT HELPS US GET THROUGH THEM.

Thank you to those of you who would pray on behalf of these folks. Please check out Spiritual Sundays by clicking on the link http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/ or the Spiritual Sundays button on my sidebar. The Lord bless each one of you and make you a blessing!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for requesting prayer for Jim and sister Doris. By requesting it has lifted the burden from my own heart. My daughter and Jim will greatly appreciate when I tell them....A thankful heart.....Auntie

  5. Isn't vacation fun when you get to spend it with a love one? It doesn't matter if you travel or just stay at home. The time spent with each other is more than enough.

Yes Sandi, I too believe in prayers and that eventhough there are many people who have their own prayer, GOd knows them all and hears them all. He is a great one!

(I was visiting Pink Saturday but have to stop by this new post too. You know, if every sidewalk have these lovely flowers planted, it would be a much joy to walk :-) Oh, and I like the candies on the table during the wedding too!)

  14. Sandi, so sorry to hear about your mom...having an 80th birthday should come with a big celebration, and I am praying that she greets it in excellent health. Also praying for Jim and his family, that they will feel the presence of the Lord as they walk through this fire. I've been praying and continue to pray for Amy... Prayer is powerful and I'm so glad you shared your burdens with us. I hope you can rest more easily knowing you have an army of prayer warriors on your side of the battlefield! Mary

  15. Hi Sandi, thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog! And thank you for all the prayer and the post. I just read up on the story of the school principal in Florida and the athletic director. We all need to pray about what is happening to our freedom. But, what they don't know is that they really can't stop us from praying. Thanks again!
