Update on My Mother

'Morning everyone~ It's a beautiful day here on the Island and we're going to enjoy it!
I thought I would update you all on my mother's condition.
She had major surgery again yesterday and is now in ICU. She looked very frail, hooked up to all those tubes, when I last saw her. I think she has a long road of recovery ahead of her; but with prayer and good nursing care, she will come through it just fine.
My son Jordan is on his way back to Canada from Portugal. He is about mid-way across the Atlantic Ocean as I write this. He really enjoyed visiting Portugal while attending the Math conference. He did however come down with a cold while over there which dampened his trip a bit. But over all, he enjoyed it because he wished he could have stayed till the end of the week!
I probably will not be posting anything again until the end of the week because I am on the go so much. Please keep my mother in your prayers and thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing that! God bless you.

  1. Sandi,
I am continuing to pray for your mom.
    Blessings, Andrea

  2. Good news that yr mom came through the surgery. Now, for the recovery. Yes, I am sure it will be a tough road back to health. This first week is the hardest...the second is bad, too...then the corner is turned...wishing and praying for comfort and strength for both of you and blessings on the surgical team.

  3. Praying for your mama and for YOU, sweet Sandi.
    Blessings, Pamm

  4. Sandi, I am praying for your Mother, and for you the strength that you need to bring her through all of this. Right after surgery seems to be the hardest, just give her body time to heal. She needs that right now. She will be on her way to recovering in a couple of days. I am sure she will look better to you today. I will be praying for you and I am wishing your Moma a full speedy recovery. God Bless You All. Country Hugs, Sherry

  5. Sandi, I am sorry that I missed you last few posts. I think sometimes that blogger doesn't get it quite right as to the updates on the sidebar.

I do hope your mother is well on her way to recovery. I will remember her in prayer.

    Becky K.

  6. Sandi, just letting you know I lifted your mom and you and your family in prayer. It sounds like she's well loved and cared for to get thru the recovery.

  7. Thanks for the update on your mom... Got you and your family covered in Prayer. God Bless, xoxo~Kathy~ @ Sweet Up-North Mornings...

  8. Glad you are all on the mend and on your way home! I'm glad you are having nice weather! ENJOY!!
    Hugs, Lisa

  9. Hi Sandi,
You're Mom has had a hard time and I pray she will improve soon.
    Take care,

  10. Sandi,
So glad your Mom is recovering from her latest surgery. I know how hard it is to watch your Mother go through these health problems. I pray that she recovers soon.

  11. My prayers and thoughts are also with you Sandi. I know these are very trying times for you.

  12. Hi Sandi,

Will be praying for your Mom to have a smooth and swift recovery!

  13. Dear Sandi,
Iam praising God your mother made it through surgery.
Prayers will continue to be lifted up for her and Jordan until he gets home.
Rest as much as you can while your mother is in the hospital...she will really need you when she gets out of the hospital.
    Angel hugs
