Yet Another Award!

Well, friends, this has been quite a week, I must say! My mother got through her surgery and is now recuperating. She is still very uncomfortable but she will mend and be back on her feet before she knows it.

I was endowed with a number of lovely surprises this week. Yesterday, I received another award from my dear friend Judith ~ http://judithsquietmoments.blogspot.com/ This award is a little different from the ones I usually see! It is called the Uber Blog Award.

Uber {synonym of super} Amazing Blog Award is a blog award given to sites that inspire you, make you smile and laugh, gives amazing information, a great read, have an amazing design, and any other reasons you can think of that makes them Uber amazing!

Now, I must say, I am quite flattered to think that anyone would want to bless me with this particular award because in all honesty, I really didn't think my blog was anything special!

Two years ago, I wanted to have a blog of my own but I didn't have a clue how to go about having one. Then, one day last October, I held my breath and plunged into it! Oh, but I'm so glad I did! I have met so many wonderful blogging friends. Anyway, having said all that; I want to say thank you Judith for passing this on to me! I feel very honoured!

Good News & Wonderful Surprises!

Hello everyone~ I have very good news to share with you! My mother has had her surgery and is now in recovery; doing well! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your prayers and good wishes. It really helped me through a difficult time this past week.

Monday morning, after a rather difficult weekend, with my mother in the hospital, I logged in to my blog and discovered a couple of nice surprises waiting for me! Then last night, I checked my emails and to my surprise, I had another! I think the good Lord knew I needed a good pick-me-upper!

My new friend Katherine over at Country Romantic ~ http://countryromantic.blogspot.com/ had blessed me with an award. It is the Friendship Award and it means so much to me to receive it, especially at this time. Thank you Katherine! Katherine is one of those special ladies who is so easy to get to know and she has a lovely blog. Why not stop by and pay her a visit? I know she would be happy to 'meet' you!


Another nice surprise was that I had won a Give-Away! Yvette over at The Charm House ~ http://thecharmhouse.blogspot.com/ was having a Give-Away and guess what? She picked my number! She had all sorts of wonderful little goodies in her Give-Away and when I receive the package, I will share it with you. Thank you Yvette!

Clif has been having a lot of book giveaways and I am so happy to have a new read coming my way! Thank you Clif! Now, as we all know, friends come and go in life, and there are different levels of friendship. I have been blessed with some wonderful and caring friends through blogging. Friends encourage you and bring a smile to your face when you are down. They are there to make you laugh and keep you company, even if it is through the world of blogging.
