Happy Pink Saturday everyone & Happy first day of Spring!
This is my favourite time of the year! The songbirds are making their way back and the earth is starting to wake up from its long Winter slumber. Even we humans seem to wake up a bit more too and we're anticipating something good to happen! There is an excitement in the air and everyone is making plans for their garden and vacation.
I got myself a new velour hoody, and it's pink; well, fuchsia actually!
You all know how much I love little birdies and flowers, right?
Last week, when I visited Tina's blog http://enchantedrosestudio.blogspot.com/ I couldn't help but be inspired by her beautiful makeover of a tiered cake plate filled with lovely blooms. She is such a gifted artist and I always enjoy visiting her blog. Her creation is much lovelier than mine, but this is my Springtime creation of a tiered dish with a little birdie perched on top!
I filled it full of delicate pink hydrangea blooms. Even my little fairy is enjoying the flowers.
Remember the five dollar pink roses I got at the grocery store a couple of weeks ago?
For my last pink of the day, I would like to share one of the first Pink Saturday pinks I posted.... This is the little rocking horse door stopper which I tole-painted back in the early nineties. It was one of the first pieces I ever did.
Sharing from my heart~ Sandi
