Today I'm Thankful For...

Hello dear friends~ I hope you all had a lovely Valentines Day.

Today, I'm feeling very thankful for the many blessings in my life.

January was a hard month! My hubby had some health issues and has just returned to work. My oldest son also was having some health issues and he will have to have surgery in May.
And my DIL suffered a miscarriage.

Yet, through it all, we've seen God working and we've seen answers to prayer.

The day before Valentines Day, I had an appointment with my surgeon concerning the results of my surgery which I also had in January. Many of you might remember that I had asked for prayer.
I am happy to report that my doctor had good news for me; I don't have cancer. Everything was benign.

Now, after a year of tests, biopsies, and surgery, I am ready to get on with my life.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by. - Oatman

Today is a new day and I thank God that my future as well as my family's is in His hands.  Whatever our circumstances, we can trust God to take care of them.

"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you." - Psalm 55:22

Because God cares about us, we can leave our cares with Him.

I will be joining Charlotte at Spiritual Sundays. Please stop by and visit her and all the inspirational posts others have to offer.

Such happy news about your surgery results! Praise the Lord - and glad to know your hubby is back to work. Ed was out of work, too, for 10 weeks and just after going back he had to have a skin eruption removed. They got it all and he is clear. The Lord being Lord in it all.

I am sorry to hear of your DIL loss of the baby - and your son's upcoming surgery. May the Lord continue to be the great healer in all your lives . . .

Joy in the Journey!
Kathy

You really do have the deepest faith and the best positive upbeat attitude, Sandi.

It is inspirational to me - I am having a really high stress and way-too-busy-to-do-anything-I-really-want-to-do kind of week, and your post touhed my heart, thanks so much.

Big hugs,

January was not a good month for my family either! My father died tragically after a car accident! But God has been good even in the valley! So glad I have Him to lean on in these times!
So sorry to hear about all those things! We serve a caring God as well who is familiar with our griefs and sorrows. And He's always got a listening ear no matter what time of day or night!
Glad to hear that your test results came back clear!

It certainly has been a rough winter. Everything you and the folks leaving comments has said about God's faithfulness is true.

I was finally able to breathe a sigh of release a bit ago. Instead of wise words I have cheerful pictures for you. Stop by for some joy. http://momwaldsplace.blogspot.com/2012/02/spring-has-sprung-in-my-heart.html

What an answer to prayer indeed! I have just seen this post. God is good! All the time! The fervent prayer....avails much! I am sorry about the other issues, especially the miscarriage, but will rejoice with you that there are blessings as well as difficult issues, and a renewed vision for fulfilling God's purpose with your life.
