Thoughts On A Sunday Morning

Hello my lovely friends~ Sometimes I run across a wonderful poem or quote. An email came in earlier today and I just have to share these words with you. The photo below, I found on the Internet. I hope they minister to you as much as they did to me.

When Our Hearts Were In Need

To those in sin, God sent us the Savior;
To those in darkness, God sent us the Light;
To those in bondage, God sent us the Deliverer;
To those in defeat, God sent us the Victor;
To those in want, God sent us the Shepherd;
To those in hunger, God sent us the Bread;
To those in pain, God sent us the Physician;
To those in doubt, God sent us the Truth;
To those in confusion, God sent us the Way;
To those in turmoil, God sent us the Prince of Peace;
To all in need, God sent His only begotten Son.

"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given." Isaiah 9:6

An Update On My Son

Hello dear bloggerettes~ I hope you're all enjoying your weekend.

Many of you had asked me for an update on my son Jeff and for those of you who did not know, this past Thursday morning he underwent a four hour surgery on his left ear. He has a condition called Cholesteatoma which was brought on by a very bad ear infection about fifteen years ago. Since then he has been having terrible ear infections and has lost most of the hearing in that ear.

The operation was hopefully going to restore his hearing in that ear, or some of it, as well as remove a tumor in there. When the surgeon went in he discovered that the tumor had done more damage than first suspected, so some restoration had to be done.

My son is home now and recuping. He is still in a lot of pain but at least he is better than he was. He will not know for a week whether he has hearing in that ear or not.
The poor boy has been through a lot the past few days and I thank you so much for your prayers on his behalf. I know it has made all the difference for him and for his family, including his mom.
