A Rose is A Rose is A Rose.....

...t'is my faith that every flower enjoys the air it breathes. ~ William Wordsworth

Hello my lovely friends. I hope your week is going well.

We have been painting the office so this will be a quick post as I don't always have access to my computer. I have also been busy baking for my company which will be arriving in a couple of weeks.

A pretty bouquet I picked up at the grocery store because my roses aren't doing well this year. I think it's because of the cold wet weather we seem to be having most of the time.

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I had found some new teacups. I am sharing another one today.

It's no secret that I adore roses and when I saw this beautiful teacup, it just won my heart, so home it came with me.

The front with a full blown rose.

The back with a tiny rose bud.

Inside and a glimpse of the saucer.

Isn't she a beauty? She is a footed teacup with a gentle scalloping around the rim of both the cup and saucer and the handle is very comfortable.

She is another Aynsley made in England and I just love the gorgeous pink roses. I honestly couldn't resist her. The number on the bottom of the cup is 1365 but I couldn't find a name for her.

"After all, the only real roses are pink ones. They are the flowers of love and faith." ~ Anne Shirley of Anne of Green Gables

The topper is new which I found at The Anne of Green Gables Store. It is called Ivory Elegance and it is the perfect size for my coffee table.

I am enjoying English Breakfast tea and a triple decker tea sandwich made with devilled ham and cream cheese on white Tramezzini bread. The plate is Royal Albert Lavender Rose.

Have you treated yourself to something new lately?

Enjoy your cuppa tea today and thank you for visiting.

Hope you all have a delightful weekend.

There are always flowers for those who want to see them. ~ Henri Matisse

  1. I agree that the only real rose is a pink rose....though yellow and white come close behind!

  3. Oh, yes, that teacup is a definite beauty. And so is the bouquet of roses. I adore pink roses, though I have to admit, I've come to love the two-tone pink and yellow variety the best.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

  5. Oh Sandi, I'm so glad that you treated yourself to such a rosy teacup. It's beautiful on the inside as well as the out...just like you! Your bouquet is lovely as well. I could go for your cooler temperatures. I really don't like our high temperatures, but at least I'm cool with the air conditoning inside.
Yes, I treated myself to a new ice cream maker and just ordered it from Amazon. My old one wasn't doing well, and I thought my Nana's cooking camp needed a new one...fun for the kiddos!

  8. Pink roses are my favourite and they line our front walkway. The new teacup is stunning Sandi, definitely had your name on it. I was wondering if you found a table topper, I have a number of them I've bought at antique places but my favourite is the heritage lace one I brought back from Ireland.
A big smile to know there will be lots of goodies in the freezer when your family arrives. Warm weather heading your way next week I believe!

  9. Hi Sandi, you found a beautiful teacup! I love it when the roses are inside the cup! They are real hard to find around here. My real roses are doing well this year and need to do a post with them soon. Enjoy your day!

  16. I forgot to ask whether the Aynsley set has a design name?

  17. I absolutely love your Aynsley! Gorgeous! It's always so fun to find a new beauty to bring Homs. Glad the painting is going well...wish I could do more, but am allergic to most paints. Last time we painted a room I couldn't go in for over a month, even with the windows open all the time! Have a great weekend!
