Spiritual Sundays

Hello everyone and welcome to another Spiritual Sundays with our lovely hostess Charlotte.

I have been absent from SS for a while and there is a reason for that. My hubby was on vacation for most of the Summer and we have been going through an incredibly difficult family crisis.

I really have only been keeping up with my tea party meme most of the summer because of course I had an obligation to do that and I knew it probably wasn't good to stop blogging altogether. I did however feel like it at times.

I read a devotion the other day and the question was asked, "Has your heart ever been broken?"
I don't believe there has ever been a soul living on this planet that hasn't had their heart broken.

There are any number of reasons for a broken heart. As a teenager perhaps you got dumped by a boyfriend or your best friend lied about you. As an adult, our trials tend to be much more serious and there are any number of situations that can break your heart such as; cruelty, unfaithfulness, loss, etc.

In my case, I have two family members who have caused a great deal of concern, distress, and heartache for me.  Now when I say family, I'm not talking about my children, but they are very close blood relatives.

A Scottish preacher, George MacDonald once said, "Tears are the only cure for weeping."
It is good to cry. One need not be ashamed of crying and I have done my share of it.
Jesus Himself wept at His friend Lazarus' grave {John11:35} and He weeps with us. His heart was broken also and our tears attract His attention. His heart aches when we mourn and He knows every tear we shed.

I am so thankful that He knows and sees everything that is going on in my life. Oftentimes He uses other people to minister to us. I have been very blessed in that just recently, He has opened the eyes of some other family members and now they can weep with me. For years, I had been alone in this along with my husband. Now we have other family members who understand and we can help each other through the hard times. It is of a very sensitive nature and therefore I cannot elaborate on it. It is enough to know that some of you will pray and I want to thank you now for your prayers. We need a miracle!

The good news is some day God will wipe away every tear from our eyes. "There will be no more death, no sorrow, no crying, for all these things will have passed away." {Rev. 21:4}

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." {Matthew 5:4}

Think of a land of no sorrow,
Think of a land of no fears,
Think of no death and no sickness,
Think of a land of no tears. ~ Anon.

Oh Sandi, I know the Lord will give you peace and encouragement. The road is rough sometimes, but the Lord is ever faithful, and as scripture states, HE will never leave you nor forsake you. Blessings to you today.

Oh yes, some do understand just as Jesus understands and bears our sorrows. But think of the state those are in who do not have the pleasure of his ministry to them. They are the ones we must pray for. We are one in the Spirit and Thank God for that....Hugs..Auntie P

Sandi, I am so very sorry to hear about your heartache. You are right to say that it happens to everyone at some point their lives. A segment from some prayers and dialogues I had written in 2004 came to me as I read your post. I've not shared these publicly often, but I think this is appropriate now. "You have forged a garden with your tears. I treasure every flower from your sorrow and joy. But let Me now comfort you, My love. Add no more salt to these beauties. I love you."

Also, I read a very profound quote today, "Don't hog your journey; it's not just meant for you."

I know God will provide healing in your circumstances. Until then, trust and speak faith as often as you can.

Blessings,
Marianne

I will be praying for you and your family, Sandi. The hurt is always hardest when the people are closest to us. But we can trust Him that He is working in the situation whether we can see it or not because he hears prayer, and answers.

THE KEY IS TO TRUST IN OUR FATHER AND FAITHFULLY PUT IT IN HIS HANDS AS I HAVE DONE SO SO MANY TIMES. I HAVE MUCH TO DEAL WITH AND SOME OF IT IS MY CHILDREN AND IF I DIDN'T GIVE IT TO HIM I'M SURE I WOULD NOT HAVE SURVIVED IT. GLAD YOU HAVE YOUR HUBBY I HAVE NOT AND THAT'S HARDER. BUT WHEN WE HAVE OUR FATHER IT MAKES IT MUCH EASIER. HIS ANSWERS COME IN HIS TIME WE MUST REMEMBER AND IN HIS SITE. IT'S NOT WHAT WE THINK SHOULD ALWAYS BE. HE WILL EASE THE LUMPS AND BUMPS AND MAYBE WITH MUCH PRAYER RELIEVE YOU TOTALLY..GOD BLESS YOU. THE CLOSER WE GET TO OUR FATHER THROUGH PRAYER AND STUDY IF WILL HELP US..AMEN..

Sandi - Bless you as you navigate through a difficult course. I am in a similar place of many tears and weeping - have been for months - and am thankful for the respite the blog is to me as a creative outlet. Presently, I am not ready to write about my struggles, but pray the Lord makes the way and gives me the story. May you know His continued wisdom and comforts, with patient endurance. Our God reigns - and saves.
Joy in the journey!

I'm glad you're back sharing with us on Spiritual Sundays. I'm sorry you are going through this trauma and pray you will receive the miracle you desire. Life really gets tough at times and it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope you are getting closer to that light every day.
Blessings and prayers,
Charlotte

Hello Sandi, I recieved a letter from another Blogger asking for prayer for terrible problems she is going through with her sister. I myself have also been the brunt of my siblings after standing in for my 93yr old mothers wellbeing. I am finally at peace over it all now. I know God has it in His care and he will attend to it far better than I can.
Its so hard when these things happen and very lonely. I pray it all works out well for you. Just leave it with Him, the lover of your soul, there is none better.. And all your tears are stored in His bottle, never forgotten.
With love Crystal Mary.

May God give you peace and comfort during this time of difficulty. I think that quote you posted is very good--Tears are the cure for weeping. All too often, I hold in my grief, fear, or disappointment and let it build up. That just leads to more grief. I hope you can find peace in His arms today.

Your faith will help heal you with the Lords blessings always with us.

I really relate to this. You write so beautifully Sandie. Thanks for sharing this encouragement with me. We have to remember how faithful He is. He is will never leave us nor forsake us. I find it difficult many days because of the awful job situation I have! But I know I can find comfort in Him.
