Welcome to Tea Time Tuesday my lovely tea friends~ This is our first tea party in the month of June and even though it doesn't feel like it here on the Island, Summer is on its way!
What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer, the fulfilment of the promise of the earlier months, and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade. ~
Gertrude Jekyll - excerpt from Victoria May/June 2011Today I am sharing a new tea cup trio I found at my favourite tea room. I was very happy to discover that it was half price so I snatched it up right away.
I love the roses on it. There is a little red, fuchsia, pink, and yellow complimented by green leaves which make this a bright and perky tea cup; perfect for this time of year!
The pattern is called Rose Petals, made of fine bone china by Maxwell and Williams.
Sweet spring, full of sweet days and roses, a box where sweets compacted lie. ~ George Herbert
How beautiful my new tea cup looks with all the pink flowers on these pages of Victoria magazine.
I find Victoria so inspiring as I'm sure you do as well.
Better to be deprived of food for three days, than tea for one. ~ Ancient Chinese Proverb
...and Lemon ginger tea.
Did you know that Ginger has wonderful medicinal qualities? It boosts your energy and metabolism, helps to reduce the severity of colds, aids in indigestion, treats nausea, eases migraines, among other things. It tastes good too!
Perhaps you would like some Rhubarb pudding with your tea.
This is just freshly baked and it's warm and yummy with a dollop of whipped cream on it.
Next week I will be hosting my Father's Day Tea. On June 20, I will be hosting a Summer Dreams Tea. On June 21, Kathy @ A Delightsome Life is hosting her seasonal party, Savoring Summer. Please be sure to join us for all these parties.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy." ~ Romans 15:13
I am delighted you have stopped by today and I would love for you to join me for Tea Time Tuesday! All you have to do is share a favourite tea cup or teapot, a coffee mug, or something tea related. If you wish, you may do coffee instead of tea or any of the following is acceptable too... apple cider, iced tea or iced coffee, hot chocolate, lemonade, or punch. The TTT button on my sidebar is available for you to use in your post or place on your sidebar if you wish. A poem, tea quote, or scripture verse would be more than welcome!
The inlinkz is available below to sign up. Please link back to me so that your visitors may find their way here to visit with all my lovely participants.
Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a delightful day filled with love and rose petals.

Very pretty new teacup. Now I need to find some ginger tea to help settle my tummy. Maybe I should make some of my Ginger Cream cookies, too. As the wedding date gets closer, I seem to sleep less at night and think. Then during the day I'm sleepy and can't get much accomplished. Could it be the heat-97 today! ♥♫
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi - Found you posting on Kathy's A Return to Loveliness this evening shortly after I did - my first time. I love your tea cup find - and how many different ways you found to capture it. I would love to share some of my tea things on future "Tea Time Tuesdays" - too late for this week, but perhaps next week. For today, if you visit my Return to Loveliness post, you'll see one of my whimsical teapots featured. I appreciate how you bring glory to the beauty of our Lord through your blog. May you continue to be blessed as you are a blessing!

Hi Sandi,I love your new tea cup... the rose pattern on it make it look soo beautiful! I have a weakness for rose patterned tea cups, they remind me of lovely ladies dressed up in their fineries. And those heart-shaped shortbread cookies looking simply adorable!Thank you for visiting me and for your sweet comment on my patriotic tablescape. Yes, those plates are Currier and Ives "Old Gristmill" pattern made by Royal China... I love those plates! Hubs and I purchased them from a country auction many years ago. Thanks for being a beautiful hostess for us each week. I added my summer beverages today and I'm not sure if it goes with your theme for the party. Please delete if it doesn't qualify. Thanks for having us and you have a lovely day!~Poppy
