Hello bloggerettes and welcome to my Pink Saturday post! Already we're in the middle of January and I'm just getting my Christmas put away for another year. I have also been doing some mantel tweaking.
My hubby gifted me with a new electric fireplace for Christmas and this is how I had decorated it. Lots of pink was used in decorating for Christmas this year.
This is what it looks like now.
I still have my mercury glass out and will likely use it for a while because I love it! The plates were a gift from a friend and they're actually red transferware but they are a wonderful shade of pink. The pink mercury glass hurricane lamp has found its place in the center.
Thanks for stopping by Rose Chintz Cottage and I hope you will visit all the pinkies on Beverly's Pink Saturday. Click the link to visit her and her participants~ http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/
Wishing you all a lovely pink weekend.

Hello Sandi: Well, I can see you're having lots of fun with your new fireplace! I was the same when we purchased this house and I finally had my very first fireplace mantel to decorate. I love both your 'during' Christmas look and 'after' Christmas look! LOVE the mirror you have displayed above your fireplace. Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Sandi, My post isn't up yet as I just finished up a busy morning with my very soon to be 5yr old Granddaughter and I'm bushed so hopefully you can visit on the weekend. Don't you just love mercury glass? I do! You mantle looks lovely , now I'm going to go rest a bit, it isn't like when I was 20 and had children, my lasting power just doesn't have the same last as it used to! hugs, Marilou
ReplyDeletelovely pink!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish you could come decorate my home for me - I love everything you do!!!!! Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteAn electric fireplace ... how wonderful! I'm getting so old I'm leaning toward next year buying an Amish fireplace (would probably paint it) and two recliners just for the supreme comfort/coziness of it all. Very pretty arrangements on your mantel! Bess
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteThe mirror looks great over your mantle and of course I love the plates!
I am looking forward to some sunshine this weekend.
How is the new little one and her Mama doing-good I hope?
Have a great weekend,
Carolyn

Hi Sandi, I am so happy to be sitting at home spending time on my computer to my hearts content. This past season has been crazy for us. We just spent two weeks in Fl. for Christmas and then our grandson's wedding. I have been gone on Pink Saturday for several weeks. Visiting you right now is a blessing and a joy to me. Smile.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I had a good laugh about the way we react to snow as well. I lived in rural MI when I was young and the lake effect snow was major snow. Our back door would require a tunnel through the snow. However, I spent most of my life in Florida and now here in the NC mountains, the snow is so much fun. The mountain roads create hazards with just a bit of snow. No one leaves their home and all the schools close because the school buses will not drive the mountain roads because of safety.
I think your fireplace is beautiful both for Christmas and now. Beautiful in pink. Pat, at Back Porch Musings has very similar mercury glass candle holders on her bedroom fireplace. Look her up Sandi. She is on my side bar.
Happy Pink Saturday.
Hugs and blessings,
Jeanne
So pretty! Hope you are staying warm with your nice new fireplace! Happy PS!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi. I have not put my Christmas things away yet either, I don't have much out, and it is not bothering me yet. LOL. Your mantel looks great, a fun place to decorate.

Love it, Sandi! I have a small collection of Red Transferware and plan to have lots more! I inherited my most favorite, treasured dishes from my Great Aunt Elsie, while she was still living. - her Rose Chintz China, which I grew up eating many a Sunday Dinner on. Beautiful mantel!
