Hello pinkie friends and welcome to another Pink Saturday in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness with Beverly at How Sweet the Sound~ http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/
Does this day ever creep up on you and then you realize you don't have anything pink to share so you have to go looking for it? Well, that's what happened to me this week. Vacation can do that to you!

While looking around for pink, I realized it was here all along. So here we go....
My mother's birthday was this past Thursday and one of the gifts I got for her was a pretty bouquet of pink Gerber daisies. It's too bad you can't tell by the photo, but the vase is a delicate shade of pink; very sweet! She loved them of course.
A few weeks ago, I found myself another teacup while browsing at Winners. It was too good a deal to pass up. The pattern is called Rose Chintz but it's not the same Johnson Bros. pattern which I collect. This is a pattern made by Gracie Bone China. It is a very close match to Rose Bud with its sprinkling of pink roses. Can one have too many teacups? I think not!
I have saved the best for last. I have a special little someone who just turned two years old this past Wednesday. This is Zachary and he brought his mommy and daddy to visit us back in August. They flew all the way from Vancouver to visit us here on Prince Edward Island. We all had a fabulous time and made some wonderful memories.
This is one cute shot, I thought. This is the little munchkin snuggled down in my bed. As you can see, there is some pink in the bedding but the cutest pink of all is in Zachary's cheeks and smile! He has big brown eyes like his mommy who is a little Dutch girl. Zachary's other grandparents came all the way from Holland to settle here in Canada.... I'm glad they did!
Well, those are my pinks for this week. We have a hurricane heading our way and depending on what Hurricane Earl dumps on us will determine how much visiting I will get done over the weekend. I pray that Earl goes out to sea and doesn't do much damage here!
NOTE: Hurricane Earl has arrived and we were without power for about four hours. We could lose our power again any time therefore I will wait till the storm passes to visit you. Thank you and God bless!
Wishing you all a wonderful pink weekend and please join me Tuesday for Tea Time Tuesday.
Be sure to get a mammogram!

Good Morning Sandi,
ReplyDeleteOh Honey! Your grandson is adorable!!! What a marvelous Pink Saturday post....and a "pink" granddaughter on the way, a little girl to dress in pink rosey dresses and hair ribbons.
Thank you for sharing.
We in Ontario are watching your weather and hope you fair well through this storm. Take care and "batten down the hatches!!".
Warm hugs, Laura
Love all these pinks today, Sandi! Your grandson is ADORABLE, and those little pink cheeks are the CUTEST!! (oh, and a NEW grandbaby on the way!!!! Wonderful!)... Wishing you well, as Earl makes his way up the coast. I'm a little more inland, so we were hardly affected at all. Our temps are only dropping because of some cold front from the northwest somewhere; but I'm GRATEFUL for it! It's been so-oooo HOT here!! Hoping to post for Tea Time again sometime soon! Hope your weekend is a good one! ~tina
