Happy Pink Saturday everyone!
This sweet teacup and saucer was a shower gift I received when I got married. It is so pretty and very delicate with its scalloped edge, dainty pink blossoms, and robin egg blue trim. The pattern is called Shelley and it comes from England. Have you ever noticed how much better a cup of tea tastes in a pretty teacup?
When I redecorated my bathroom, I bought some new towels. You know the ones you hang for decorative purposes only? As you can see, there is a little pink rose embellishment on each one. The rose is sitting on a lovely square edged with a pretty piping all around it. It is hard to tell from the picture, but there are tiny white satin flowers sprinkled all around the rose inside the square.Lastly, is my darling little pink-cheeked grandson, Zachary, who was having his bath in Nanny's kitchen sink. Anyone standing nearby, also got a bath! He loved splashing his little patties in the water! Babies and water just naturally seem to go together, don't they? He was having such fun!!
Well, those are my pinks for this first Saturday in May. Have a wonderful Pink Saturday everyone. I hope you will go check out the other pink contributions today. Just click on the link http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ or the Pink Saturday button on my sidebar. Thank you to Beverly who makes this fun event possible each week!
This has been a busy week and I didn't know if I would be able to participate in today's event or not; but here I am!

Thanks for the bonus picture of Zachary, who reminds me of the priceless joys in life. I love to see GOD's children in that light. So adorable and innocent. He looks so happy and peaceful and has no idea that he's in the "sink" as opposed to the "bath tub" I remember when my daughter was younger, she slept in a drawer. And when my son was born, my boss allowed me to bring him to work sometimes and I kept him under my desk (smile)
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Pink Saturday as well.
Love and hugs,
China

Sandi-You remind me that I ought to take time and drink my tea out of a pretty cup and saucer instead of my big ole clunky mug...stop and smell the pink roses :) Oh, and there's nothing cuter than your grandbaby in the sink! Thanks for stopping by!
