Sweet and Simple Tea Time

"It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all." ~ Laura Ingalls Wilder

Hello dear friends and welcome to my first Tea Time in March ~

As most of you know I have been out of commission for the past week or so and because I'm still not 'back to normal' today I am having a simple little tea in our den which is where I've been spending most of my days lately.

A pot of tea, a sweet little teacup, some stacked ironstone plates and white tulips make for a serene tea time. I had a few white carnations left too which I have in a mercury glass rose bowl.

Flowers, china, and tea just help one feel better. It doesn't hurt to have a couple of chocolate drizzled macaroons sitting nearby either.

The pretty teapot holds some English Breakfast tea.

My teacup is Bridal Rose from Bavaria and the plates are Myott fine Ironstone, called Brides Bouquet from Staffordshire, England. I love how all the patterns go together.

Happiness is sharing tea with a friend.

"Life should be savoured; sipped like a cup of tea."~ Unknown

There are three special occasions coming up this month; St Patricks Day, the first day of Spring, and Easter. Each one brings with it a reason to celebrate and special moments to savour.
So, I thought I would have a tea party to celebrate all three rather than have three separate parties. I would love for you to join me for that special tea, "Savour the Moment Springtime Tea" which I hope to host on the 18th of March. I plan to do a Cupcake Tea or Fairy Cake Tea, as I often call cuppies fairy cakes. Would love to have you join me for that special Tea.

Thank you for visiting today. I really do appreciate all your visits and comments.

If you have a pretty teacup, teapot, or coffee mug you would like to share then please write a post about it and come join the party. I will be happy to come and visit you.
Should you rather do coffee, that's fine too, as well as hot chocolate, hot apple cider, iced tea, iced coffee, lemonade, or punch in a pretty bowl.

Have a lovely day and God bless you!

  14. Dearest, beloved tea lady Sandi,

This teatime is so soft, pretty and cheerful with your pretty soft pink, white and leaf sprig green, teacups, teapot, white tulips and mercury glass which is so utterly charming as usual.

It's such a blessing that you were able to join with your fellow blogging friends for tea, if only for a brief respite, amid you need to recover dear Sandi.

The warmth of shared hospitality and blog friendship is always enjoyable. Thanks for hosting.

Our hearts goes out to you and you are in our thoughts and prayers for a full recovery, precious Sandi. He is indeed able! (I have a severe scoliosis and therefor I understand chronic back pain all too well). However, yours was much more excruciating, I have no doubt...

Take care dear lady and may you also have a day filled with JOY!

Cheers, blessings and hugs from Wanda Lee

  17. A simple tea is just as splendid as a one we've spent a lot of time preparing. I've always liked the teacups you have with the small pink roses, I find it to be one of the more feminine patterns.
I hope you're not laid up too much longer, is surgery going to be an option?
    Take care,
    Judith

  42. Hi Sandi. I am glad to hear you are a little better. In our weakness He is strong for us.
I always regret not having anything to bring to your lovely teatime party. I have purchased every pretty teacup and saucer I've come across lately but I am having a hard time mastering the great photo and never think mine are "blog worthy". But this weekend I am going to take many many photos and attend the party next week!

Blessings to you my sweet friend. By His stripes we are healed. Sometimes it just doesn't manifest immediately.
    Keep rejoicing!
