If you love the colour pink then you're going to love her party!
Today I have a new treasure to share with you.
This pretty teacup came from an auction and it is made by Royal Albert of England. It is the Friendship pattern and is adorned with pink cosmos. I believe it was produced in 1940 which makes it vintage.
I love the shape of this pretty cup and saucer.
The cup itself is waisted in the lyric shape with gold trim on both the cup and saucer.
What makes this teacup so interesting is that it has a shell imprint in the bone china.
The name of the former owner is still on the bottom of the saucer. I would love to hear the stories this teacup could tell me!
Now how about some tea? Who wouldn't enjoy sipping from this pretty teacup!
I made a collage.
I have been doing some crafts this week....
This is a salt shaker which I glued a wee tree into and filled with 'snow.'
I painted and glittered the top for a cute Christmas decoration.
Some of you have already seen these but for those of you who haven't, here are a couple others that I did. So, what do you think?
Thank you for visiting today and please visit How Sweet the Sound with Beverly for more pink. Have a lovely weekend everyone and a Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!
Sharing from my heart~ Sandi
Hello Sandi
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely set! There's nothing better than sitting down to a decent cup of tea and drinking it from a bone china tea cup. Royal Albert was one if my mother favourites.
Love the idea of the tree in the salt cellars like a ship in a bottle....and they look so very nice.
keep well
Amanda :-)
Such a pretty teacup, love it! I don't think I've seen one so lovely. I do like the way you placed the snow and little tree in the each bottle. I'll have to do this when I start to decorate.
ReplyDeleteYour tea cup is pretty, but the salt shaker you did really caught my eye. Great idea and nicely done.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteI just bet the beautiful little dainty cup and saucer could tell lots of stories! What a lovely set to have in your collection. I really love the pink cosmos. So pretty. You did a great job with the little shaker. I love it so much I'm going to copy one for myself. Wishing you a wonderful and very Happy Thanksgiving Sandi.
Blessings,
Emily

I had just been gifted a lovely Royal Albert Tea cup myself last month. Love the Salt Shaker ideas; wondering where I could get those little trees here in Bruce County.
ReplyDeleteYou know...I don't believe I have ever seen cosmos flowers on anything. That cup & saucer is just beautiful! HPS xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty teacup! Love the collage, too. And sweet salt/tree shaker. Bess
ReplyDeleteTea in fine china is always better but most of the time I drink out of coffee mugs because I'm drinking while doing something and don't want to break the good stuff.
ReplyDeleteMerle......

Little lagnappes of information like that little flick of tape have sent me on several pleasant journeys of inquiry.
ReplyDeletePerhaps "Ricky" was a member of a Tea Society and each member took her own cup to the gatherings, or perhaps she lent her collection to a friend who was entertaining, or to that lovely Jones girl's bridal shower hostesses for the afternoon.
I always enjoy looking my eyes full of your lovely collections and arrangements.

Absolutely lovely!!! I think the tree in the saltshaker is so creative! :D

ReplyDeleteDear Sandi,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful find! I have never seen this shape and pattern by Royal Albert before. Perhaps it is one especially made for the foreign market.
