Tea Time Tuesday

"Time spent in the company of a friend is like a golden moment in our day." ~ Ron Lessin

Welcome friends for tea~ This is my first tea party in September and the signs of Autumn are all around us!

I know many of you cannot wait for Autumn but I always find this time of the year rather sad. We have enjoyed the lushness of green grass and blooms all Summer and now everything is beginning to fade. Soon the songbirds will be making their way back down South and I will miss their sweet songs and play about the trees and feeder outside my window. *sigh*

Time for a cup of tea....!

But first, would you like to see the treasures I found while out thrifting the other day?

I was so pleased to find this square green plate by Johnson Bros.. I think the fruit on it is perfect for this time of year now that it is harvest time.

have the pink one which I won on eBay a few years ago. I paid a lot more for the pink one so I was pleased to pay only a few dollars for the green.

I also found these Johnson Bros. cereal bowls. The Road Home is the name of the pattern and will go nicely with my Friendly Village which I collect. I paid four dollars each for the bowls. I checked on-line and they were going for thirty dollars each in some places. So, I am very pleased to have found them!

It is such a charming pattern with a pickett fence and red roses along the scalloped edge. The center of the bowl depicts a cozy  village with a little church. Yup, looks like a Sandi bowl!

It is a discontinued pattern 1957-74.

Now let's have some tea, shall we? I thought my Butterfly Garden  trio would look nice with my 'new to me' green plate. Note the butterfly inside the cup.

"Pour me a little more tea, would you, dear? I can drink it till it comes out of my ears." ~ Garek- Star Trek Deep Space 9

Peachy carnations in a teapot is my arrangement for today.

Fresh fruit and a cookie make a nice snack for a simple cuppa tea.

Dear God,
Protect our going out
and coming in; let us

this home with all who

Your love and peace." ~ Author unknown

The other items I found I shared in my Pink Saturday post below if you would like to check them out.

NOTE~ There has been a death in the family so I know you will forgive me if I am very slow getting around for my visits this week.

"You have made known to me the path of life;
You will fill me with joy in Your Presence." ~ Psalm 16:11

I am happy to see all your tea things, whether you have shared them before or not. This tea party is all about sharing your joy of tea time and any thoughts you might have on the subject. For the summer months, I would love to see your teacups and teapots indoors as well as out in the garden, at the beach, on a park bench, etc... I would also enjoy seeing your teacup and teapot crafts as well as recipes and any stories you might have to share about tea time. So, let's have fun this summer with our teas. Get out there and be as creative, fancy, or as laid back as you wish!

I am delighted you have stopped by for a visit today. Your presence always make my tea party that much more special! Do you have a favourite teacup/teapot or mug that you would like to share with us today? I would love to see it and I'm sure others would too!

If you wish, you may do coffee instead of tea or the following is acceptable too:
Hot Apple Cider
Hot Chocolate
Lemonade
Iced Tea or iced coffee
Punch in a lovely bowl.
No alcoholic beverages please.

The Tea Time Tuesday button on my sidebar is available for you to use in your post or place on your sidebar if you wish. A poem, tea quote, or scripture verse would be more than welcome!

To be sure everyone has a visit, it would be nice if you visited the participant before and after your name.

Inlinkz is available below for you to sign up for my tea party.

As a courtesy, please link back to me so that your visitors may find their way here to visit with all my lovely participants.

I love that you cut some fruit and arrange it so beautifully - I don't know how to arrange food to be pretty. I never even think of doing something like that. It is a talent I don't possess.

Lovely tea, thank you so much for hosting.
