An Afternoon With The Grands

Hello everyone. I hope you're all enjoying these lovely days of summer.

What do you do when you have two little guys for a lovely summer afternoon?

Well, you take them for ice cream....

Then feed the goats....

Then you take them here where there are miles of beautiful sandy beaches....

Where Papa imparts some of his wisdom on the art of skipping rocks. Pay close attention now, boys....

First he shows them how it's done....Hey guys, are you watching?

That's it Brent! Jared looks for the perfect rock...

Ah, I think he found one...

That water sure is nice!

Climbing  a sandhill is always fun too!

And discovering an Inukshuk. Jared found this creation fascinating while his big brother was busy throwing jelly fish back out to sea....

It was a wonderful afternoon! Where do you take your little guys on a Sunday afternoon?

  2. You have such a handsome family, Sandi!

I am still hoping/waiting/wishing to HAVE grands. I have a grand puppy and wouldn't think of taking her anywhere, haha.

The beach in your pics look so inviting. Growing up on one of the Great Lakes it is still - after 23 years- difficult to feel comfortable being land-locked. Water just FEELS right to me.

What a need is a tiny lake cottage.....hrm.....dreaming.....

  4. Hi Sandi, I can tell you love spending time with the grands(I do)but you & your hubby don't look old enough for grand children. Love the beach, can't remember where you are, but you're making me miss living near the coastline. Of course, since we have 9 grands here I wouldn't be anywhere else.

  5. What wonderful time to spend with the grand children! It's priceless!
I know I follow your blog but, I have been refollowing a lot of blogs this morning and the GFC acts like I don't follow them. I still see them in my reader? I am a little concerned but hopefully it is just a glitch.

  6. Looked like a fun day all 'round Sandi. The oldest grandson is 18 and holds his hand out for my car keys. The youngest lad is 5 and is happy if Grandma watches Nascar on the TV with him.
The 4 girls, well they all like to go to tea rooms with Grandma. Yay!

  10. Hi Sandi,
Your making such lovely memories! My grandkids are all in school with lots of activities after and on weekends. When they were small I'd load up the little red wagon and we'd walk to Lake Superior down a country road to play in the sand and just stick our toes in the water. Miss those days!
