I welcome Spring wholeheartedly as I'm sure many of you do and I look forward to all the loveliness this sweet season brings us.
Last week I had shared a couple of topiaries I had made for my mantel. Today, I just finished the matching wreath and thought I would share it too.
I started off with a styrofoam wreath and glued on three shades of faux hydrangea flowers. All my supplies came from Michaels.
I added a butterfly just like on the topiaries; love the sparkles! I like a wee bit of Spring bling.
And here is the finished wreath. Hanging from the mirror with some ribbon, it pulls the whole look together.
It is very difficult to get a photo of the whole mantel without getting my reflection or other distracting objects in it. Mirrors are so reflective as you know but you get the idea.
There appears to be no space between the clock and the wreath but there is. It appears this way because I took the picture from below on the coffee table and aiming the camera upwards so I wouldn't be in the picture too. This is the best I could do under the circumstances.
Well, I hope you enjoyed seeing my new projects and my Spring mantel.
And for all of you who are celebrating St. Patricks Day, I'm sharing a wee bit of green too. The handpainted teacup is a favourite of mine and it's a lovely shade of green with tiny pink roses on it; a wee bit of pink and green for Pink Saturday.
Happy St. Patricks Day!

Hi Sandi
ReplyDeleteThe wreath does tie everything in together and the pink and white shades of silk petals are pretty. The butterfly is the perfect finishing touch.

Happy Pink Saturday and a fun green day too. Your wreath is so pretty. Your beautiful mantle certainly says "welcome Spring". xo
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteNicely done on the topiary and wreath. They are very pretty and oh, so spring-like...very airy and cool looking. And we could use a bit of coolness here in along the Texas gulf...it's already humid and hot.
I like your green cup. The holidays for me get lost with my job. A grocery store is so busy that I don't get to really be in the moment for a holiday.
Blessings,
Marianne
Your mantel is so pretty and cheerful! And YES, I am ready for spring...it has been a dreary week here.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and enjoy those St. Patrick's cupcakes!
