REDnesday Is Here!

Well, I've been busy; celebrating birthdays and participating in several blog parties in the past week! Today I'm joining Sue at "It's A Very Cherry World" for REDnesday once again. Red is a favourite colour of mine and I like to share it whenever I can.

Last week, I joined in a rooster party and I overlooked a couple of roosters! It was easy to miss them because they are on a cushion and a table cloth in the den. So I thought I would share them today. I love toile and I love roosters and they are both in red here. Do you see him?
Yes, they are there! Love them!I decided to show this plate today also because this rooster has red on him.Next are the red cardinals on the floor mat.Lastly, is this!
Oh, be still my heart! This is my newest find. You don't see these very often any more. Remember when these were fashionable? A scalloped teacup on its own little sandwich plate! I love it!!
Would you care for a cuppa coffee and a donut? I have plenty. After we have sat and visited a while over coffee, why not stop by Sue's at http://suelovescherries.blogspot.com/ for more reds? Have a marvellous day everyone!

  2. Great reds! I love the plate and teacup set. My mother has some of the clear glass ones. I browsed over some of your previous posts. You have a beautiful family. Happy birthday to your mom and to your grandson too. And to your son and daughter-in-law. Boy, busy month for you! A new great-niece was just born yesterday. She lives too far away for us to see though.

  3. I'm glad I'm not the only one still showing roosters. I find some I've forgotten everyday! That red snack set is to die for! I have several different ones but none as lovely as that.

  4. I love red toile so much! Our bedroom curtains are done in that fabric. Sadly, no roosters on them though! That rooster plate is really pretty, and that mat with the cardinals is gorgeous too. Lovely tea set too. All great reds this week!
    Happy Rednesday!

  14. Hi Sandi! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and welcoming me to Rednesday.
I absolutely love toile. I just bought some sheer fabric with a deep plum toile print on it to make valances for my bedroom. And I am green (or should that be "red"...LOL) with envy of your scalloped teacup and plate! Not only is the pattern gorgous but, you are right, it is very hard to find these lovely little cup and plate sets. The only ones I have are the crystal ones.

  15. Beautiful toile and sandwich set! They really should make those again - but with a nice big 12-oz (.35 liter) mug!

  16. Hi Sandi,
Thanks for wanting to feature my blog, that is so kind of you, I am honored!
I love your red - very warm and inviting, and who doesn't love roosters? (except for the one that lives behind us and starts cock-a-doodle doo-ing at 4:00 AM, I am not kidding.)
Please stop by to visit often. For some reason I sure would like a cup of tea right now!
