Spiritual Sundays

Hello everyone. It's that time again; Spiritual Sunday, and I have not much to share today.
Hubby and I are getting back into a normal routine which we haven't been in since before Christmas. We have been so busy and I have been so tired too because of it. But you know what? When I come before the Lord and just sit and meditate on Him, He somehow takes all that weariness away and He replaces it with His peace. His peace just kind of takes over. It is amazing really!
But then God is an amazing God! He is an awesome God!
This brings to mind one of my favourite hymns....a Swedish Folk Melody, written by Carl Boberg who lived between the years of 1859-1940.

How Great Thou Art

O Lord, my God! When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy pow'r throughout the universe displayed,
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee.
How great thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee.
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
That is only the first stanza and chorus, but there is such a powerful message contained in those. I am so in awe that He made the world and all that is in it and yet He cares about every little thing that concerns me. I am insignificant and yet He says I am the apple of His eye! Who could not worship that kind of God? Bless His name forever!
WHEN WE KNOW THAT GOD'S HAND IS IN EVERYTHING,
WE CAN LEAVE EVERYTHING IN GOD'S HAND.
May you be blessed this Sunday and this weekend. Please click on the Spiritual Sundays button on my sidebar to be refreshed by other testimonials and stories.

  3. I too love that song. I especially like your words of encouragement for today. As a Pastor for many years I was always reminding the members that we have a great God! And I too know that when we stop and meditate on how great He is--it brings us peace. Thanks for posting.
