Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday Ladies~

I am having so much fun sharing my pinks each week, aren't you? The variety of pinks out there is simply amazing! Thank you Beverly, our gracious hostess, for inviting us all to participate in this activity every week!

I have three more pinks to share with you.....
My first contribution is a lovely warm fuzzy scarf that a dear lady at our last parish knitted for me. Wouldn't you agree, it's the perfect shade of pink?
Then there is this wonderful rose coloured throw that my dear auntie knitted for me. Can you see all the detail in it? It really is a beautiful warm cuddly throw!

My last pink of the day is a bucket full of posies. I love flowers, both real ones and faux, don't you? The bucket is silver with gold handles and gold trim. Do you think I should paint it white?

I have visions of it painted white with a gauzy ribbon tied around it and an ornament dangling from it! Perhaps an Eiffel Tower; what do you think?

Paint it white or leave as is? Let me know what you would do!

Well, those are my pinks for this week. I am having a Give-Away next week so please do drop by and check it out!

  1. I love the scarf I've actually got one in blue and it is certainly so soft around my neck - when I'm really cold I sometimes wear it around the house just makes me feel so cozy. Have a good day.

  2. Your throw is beautiiful and as for the bucket I would paint it a pinkish white. These flowers are to refined for a bucket. Just my 5 cents.... lol

  3. Thanks, I really needed that. It's gray here with lots of clouds and cold air. And on the inside, there's lots of dog hair (lol) Somebody needs to vaccummmmmmm (smile)

    Have a blessed Saturday!

    Love, peace and blessings!

  6. Hi Sandi,

  7. Hello everyone,
Thank you for the input on the bucket! I don't ordinarily put the flowers in that bucket; I just put them in there today to get some feedback. I had planned to paint the bucket a pale pink, sprinkle some sparkle dust on it, and tie a pretty ribbon around it. Thank you Riet for reminding me. I think I'll do just that! Have a wonderful day freinds.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  8. HAPPY PINK SATURDAY SANDI,
I LOVE THE IDEAL OF PAINTING THE BUCKET WITH A PALE PINK....HOWEVER IF THE BUCKET WAS NOT SO SHENEY AND HAD AN AGED PATINA THE FLOWERS WOULD LOOK BEAUTIFUL ALSO...LIKE MAKING AN ARRANGEMENT IN AN OLD WATERING CAN. I LOVE THE BEAUTY OF ROSES IN SOMETHING VINTAGE AND AGED. IT IS ALL JUST WHAT WE EACH ONE LIKE
    BLESSINGS

  9. Sandi I can see you're having a lovely Pink Saturday! I adore everything, but especially that gorgeous throw. I'll be looking for one soon and hope I can find one as pretty as yours. It looks wonderful on your pretty couch. I love the bucket the way it is, but, when you describe your vision of what it could be, I like that even better. The tea set in your blog banner, is it Johnson Brother's. I've been seeing that pattern on eBay but wasn't sure I would like it until I saw it in your banner. ♥

I would probably put a rusting medium on the bucket and THEN paint it. LOL

  11. The old rose shades of your Pink Saturday photos are so lovely. Maybe painting it white would be bets to match with the cathedral. Thanks fro sharing your lovely Pink Saturday..

I love the pink items you chose! The scarf is oh-so-cute! Love it! And the throw looks gorgeous draped over your couch! :)

Okay, on the matter of the bucket...I agree that it would look absolutely wonderful painted white, and I LOVE your idea of the ribbon and ornament, too! :)
I also wanted to say that I really like how you have decorated with the flowered couch, pink throw, and the painted end table in the corner by the couch...so pretty! :)

  25. Beautiful handmade pinks! Lucky you! As for the bucket, I guess I'm in the minority but I would leave it silver and gold. I'd still put a ribbon and ornament around it but I love the original look of the French flower buckets.

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Belated Happy Pink Saturday Wishes!
