Hello and Happy New Year everyone. How did you spend your New Year's Eve? Hubby & I spent the evening with our sons Jeff and Jordan, playing Monopoly. Jordan won of course, as he usually does! We are having a blizzard today so we will be spending the day cooped up all cozy and pray that the power doesn't go out. We could get up to 40 cm. of the white stuff with exceedingly high winds! Yuck!!
With the New Year, comes another birthday!
.....Yes, I'm a New Year's baby. I was supposed to be born on Christmas Day and after waiting a week, my mother decided it was time to get things rolling, so she took a dose of castor oil. Lo and behold, I finally made my appearance on New Years Day; and that's ALL I'm telling you!
Yesterday I visited Suzann's blog at Lavender and Roses at http://suzann-marie.blogspot.com/ and was pleasantly surprised to find that she had won an award and she had graciously passed it on to me. Still new to blogging, I'm always surprised and honoured that someone would want to bless me with an award.
To accept this award, I must mention who I received the award from and link back to her. Then I am to write the following into my post:
"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY- nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award."
I find this award very complimentary and I feel blessed to have had it bestowed upon me. What a wonderful birthday present! Thank you Suzann!
I would like to bless the following eight bloggers with this award:
Charlotte from Charlotte's Weblog - http://char72.wordpress.com/
Judith from Judith's Quiet Moments - http://judithsquietmoments.blogspot.com/
Jenni from Nest to Keep - http://www.nesttokeep.com/
Rachel from A Romantic Porch- http://rachelgoing.blogspot.com/
Karla from Ramblin Roads- http://ramblinroadstoeverywhere.blogspot.com/
Debra from Glory Feathers, Starlight, and, Roses- http://gloryfeathers.blogspot.com/

Happy Birthday! Having a birthday on New Years Day makes it a double Happy day.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about taking your son to the airport. We took both of our kids to airports and saw them drive off many times knowing we would not see them for quite a while. We are so thankful they both live close to us now. Now every Christmas we say we're glad we don't have to go to the airport.
Thank you so much for the award. It was so sweet of you to give it to me.
Have a great week.
Charlotte
Happy New Year, Sandi, and happy belated birthday! I spent New Year's much the same way you did - under the same pile of snow from the same snow system! It was pretty quiet, and I sorely wished I had someone to play a game of Scrabble with. Sadly, I am the only one who likes it!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,
Linda
