Hello friends and welcome to a Pink Tea Time Tuesday! I am delighted to have you visit today.
As I mentioned last week, I am posting pink all this month in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
The colour pink represents the sweetness and innocence of the child in all of us.
Many of us have had a brush with breast cancer or someone dear to us has. Too many have died from the disease.
As most of you know, I lost my best friend to breast cancer. I naturally think of her often but especially at this time of year. Not just because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month but because on Thanksgiving Day, which we celebrate here in Canada the second Monday in October, my friend's doctor {who was also a friend}, made a house call to tell her that her cancer had spread and she only had two months to live. We were all devastated! She only survived about six weeks after that.

Pink represents compassion, nurturing and love. It relates to unconditional love and understanding, and the giving and receiving of nurturing.
It is too late for so many but I pray, as many do, that someday they will find a cure. Not only for breast cancer, but every cancer.

Pink is feminine and romantic, affectionate and intimate, thoughtful and caring.
You have seen these teacups before but because they are some of my prettiest pink teacups, I am featuring them today.

The quote above is one that doesn't really apply to me but perhaps it does you? I like my tea a little on the weaker side, same as my coffee.

I made a Cranberry-Apple Crumble and I will share the recipe later in the week. I am using a pink depression glass bowl sitting on a Johnson Bros. Rose Chintz plate. The vintage spoon is from a sweet blogger friend which has my initial engraved on it.
I like how the cranberries add a hint of pink to the apples. Warm cranberry-apple crumble, topped off with a dollop of fresh whipped cream, it's a wonderful dessert to have with tea or coffee.

Thank you for stopping by for my Pink Tea and I would love to see what you are sharing today. Perhaps you are not a pink person but a blue one. Blue tea wares with some pink posies would be lovely. Anything pink would work but you don't have to share pink if you are not able to. I welcome any colour! Sharing your joy of tea time is the main thing.
