Another Give-Away Item

'Morning everyone. The past couple of days, we have been iced over like a cake here on our Island in the Gulf. Many homes have lost their power but not us, thankfully! Trees are bent over from the weight of the ice, including our neighbor across the street who has lovely white birch trees lining his driveway. The branches of the trees are touching the ground from the weight of the ice. Last year we lost a big branch off one of our pine trees due to an ice storm. I hope we fare alright this year! Nature is very beautiful but it also has the power to wreak havoc in our world, as we all know. Before I get to my second item of the Give-Away, I must pass this on to all of you. I was visiting my friend Charlotte at Charlotte's Weblog http://char72.wordpress.com/ last night, and she was giving away this fun little button. I love it! We all have a bad day once in a while; some of us may have an 'awful' day. But think about having an AWE-FULL day! Isn't that cool? It's all in the attitude, isn't it? Let's have an attitude of gratitude and enjoy an Awe-Full day! If you would like to have the button, you are welcome to it and please pass it on!

Now on to my next order of business, the second item in my Give-Away! Remember to check back to my March 3rd post to find out the details to enter.
Today's item is this lovely little votive candle. It is a Honeydew Melon scent and is a lovely shade of pale green.
Once again, I leave you with a scripture verse. Have an Awe-Full day everyone.
"Thy Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path." Psalms 119:105

My 100th Post Give-Away

My Give~Away is here!

Hello everyone~ I'm sure you are all looking forward to Spring. I know I am as Spring is my favourite season. There is still much snow around our fair Island but March is here and it promises to warm up soon. The flowers will be soon be poking their heads through the snow and the song birds will be coming back. Once April comes, I'm listening for the song of the little spring-peepers; the tiny tree frogs which sing very loudly at night here behind our home. I think it's the most wonderful time of the year, the exception being Christmas!

I love Spring so much because that is when the earth wakes up from its Winter slumber and everything comes alive again. For those of you who live in a warmer climate, you cannot imagine the relief it is to see the last of the snow as the earth begins to replenish itself with lush greens and the scent of blooms. Spring is fresh and green, and there is an excitement in the air.
So, in celebration of Spring and my 100th post, I am doing my Give-Away in green, which is also one of my favourite colours. I have been working on the package and adding to it but I will only show you one item per day until the drawing on the 10th of March. I will pick one person's name on the 10th, at 10:00 PM Atlantic time.

The rules are as follows: You must guess who the young lady in the picture is, add my 1ooth post button to your blog, linking back to me, and you must leave a comment on this post. I will be checking this post regularly for your comments, so please leave a comment on this particular post if you wish to enter. Thank you and have fun!

My first item in the Give-Away is this little bird house {sorry it's not a better picture} which I have hand painted like the Green Gables house in Cavendish. It has a little bird sitting on the perch and he too is waiting for the first signs of Spring. Please check back tomorrow for another item in my Give~Away. I leave you with this scripture verse and I wish you all a spring-like day. God bless!

"Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." John 4:14
