Pink Saturday

Good morning pinkies! Happy Pink Saturday to you all. Please visit our wonderful hostess Beverly and all her pink participants by clicking on the link http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ or the Pink Saturday button on my sidebar.

Today I have a couple treasures to share with you.

A little cranberry basket which my sweet hubby gifted me with one day. I just love the colour of this glass!

Then I have this vintage plate made by Johnson Bros. which I got on eBay several years ago. I love the shape of the plate and the fruit which adorns the plate is so charming. Someday I would like to get three more in the colours of soft blue, green, and yellow. Thanks for stopping by and please check out all the other pinkies this weekend. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

The Wonderful Benefits of Blogging

Good morning everyone! While I was on vacation, I accumulated some awards and giveaway prizes. The blogging community certainly offers us wonderful friendships and rewards, doesn't it? When I first got up the nerve to create my own blog, I never dreamed I would make so many friends or have so many Followers! I have indeed been blessed by all of you!

A few weeks ago, I won the book, 'Critical Care' from Sally at Smiling Sally http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/ and I'm enjoying it immensely! Thank you Sally for your great Giveaways. Please check out Sally's website if you haven't already. Sally, you will find to be a charming and witty blogging friend and she is also the hostess of Blue Monday.

This printed fabric is the wonderful Giveway I received from Fannie Narte. It is called "Kindred Spirits" and was created by Fannie herself. I love the name of it! You can visit Fannie at her website here: http://fannienarte.blogspot.com/ This fabric can be applied to aprons, t-shirts, etc. or be used on a handbag or tote. It can be sewn, glued, beaded, painted, etc. Thank you Fannie for your unique gift!

Now, I would like to share these two awards I have been given. Awards are given in friendship and are meant to encourage and honour the recipient.

The first award is from my dear friend Debbie at "There's An Angel On My Front Porch" http://debbie-jeremiah3017.blogspot.com/ This is the Premios Dardo Award which means Top Dart. The award acknowledges the values that every blogger shows in his or her effort to transmit culture, ethical, literary, and personal values every day. I am not certain I deserve it but because Debbie chose to bless me with it, I will gladly accept it. Thank you Debbie! I value your friendship so very much.

As most of you know, Debbie's daughter Amy is in the hospital having undergone surgery and treatment for cancer. Amy is a very brave young lady and we're all praying for her quick recovery.

The next award, the Neno's Award, I have received is from Andrea at "Arise 2 Write." http://arise2write.blogspot.com/

This award is given to those who love blogging, who love to encourage friendships through blogging, and who help others seek the reasons why we all love blogging. Thank you Andrea for blessing me with this award. I treasure your friendship also!

These two awards, I feel are very personal and say much about one's character. I am supposed to pass them on to deserving bloggers but I cannot choose from so many of my friends. So I'm going to break the rules again and pass them on to all of you who visit me on a regular basis. You know who you are! All I ask is that you let me know you have received it and link it back to me. You are all treasured and valued more than you know! The Lord bless you all!
