Vintage Finds

Hey everyone~ I have been thrifting and so I thought I would join the following parties to share them with you all. Today I am joining Diann at The Thrifty Groove for her Thrifty Things Friday. I'm also joining Debra at Common Ground  for her Vintage Inspiration Friday, Sherry at The Charm of Home  for her Home Sweet Home Party, and Honey at 2805 for her Potpourri Friday.

This lovely battenburg lace runner I found at a thrift shop for two dollars; love it! It is 50 x 15.5 inches and is in perfect condition!

A Johnson Bros. square plate depicting a fruit motif; perfect for Autumn....

Vintage milk bottles....

Pink depression glass teacups....

Johnson Bros. The Road Home cereal bowls. These were four dollars each and were selling on-line for thirty dollars each. I was thrilled to find them because they are out of production now and very hard to come by....

The pickett fence and roses along the scalloped edge as well as the village scene is simply charming, don't you think?

I hope you enjoyed seeing my 'new to me' treasures. Thank you to all our lovely hostesses and please stop by and check out what all their participants are sharing this weekend. Enjoy your day!

Sharing from my heart~ Sandi

  3. Your "thrifty finds" are LOVELY! So sorry to read about the passing of your nephew. Dear friends of ours lost their 38 year old daughter in a car accident last week. She left behind a hubby and three little girls. Our comfort is that she's with the Lord. Have a great week! ~ Phyllis

  8. Good found treasures Sandi, especially the runner. I bought mine years ago and rarely see battenburg lace linens new, only in the antique shops.

  10. Oh how lovely! I don't know which I like the best -- the sweet plate with the fruit motif, the pink teacups or those very, very special cereal bowls. Now I am wondering about some dishes I have. They are not marked on the bottom, but something about the colors and the center scenes make me wonder if they could just possibly be Johnson Bros. I am woefully ignorant about such things.

  19. Sandi, you found some beauties at really good prices. I recently bought a small battenburg lace table cloth and paid much more than you did. Prices in malls and shops here are pretty expensive. Don't know why since other bloggers seem to find great deals. Oh well! I like everything you showed, especially the pretty square plate and the depression cups and saucers. I'm so sorry about your family's loss. --------------Shannon
