Tea and Reflections


Hello everyone~ I am sitting here sipping on my Lady Grey tea and wondering about what I can share with you today.
It's been a busy, yet sad week.
I have been busy getting ready for Joel's arrival on Sunday; baking, cleaning, and setting up baby things for my newest grandchild. Later, Hubby and I will go shop for some groceries. Life is sweet and full of joy for me right now.
In stark contrast, this week has also seen its share of sadness too. Two people in our bible study group have lost loved ones this week. One fellow lost his father and one of our young ladies has lost her grandfather. The grandfather was one of our parishioners at our last church. Hubby will be taking part in the funeral on Saturday.
I am so full of excitment and expectation with my son, his wife, and the baby coming to visit, and yet others I care about are going through such grief!
We never know what one day will bring, do we? Each of us is blessed with a certain amount of time to live on this earth. That's why we must strive to make the best of each day; to love and genuinely care about one another; to reach out and touch someone and make their life better somehow.
Philippians 4:8 is one of my favourite scripture verses for making the most of my day.
For those who have passed on to the next life, their lives are over; their work is done. Those who loved them are left behind to cherish their memories.
My little grandson is just beginning his trek in this world and I pray it will be wonderfully blessed as he makes new discoveries each day. I pray that God will give his parents wisdom as they bring him up.
As I am pondering all of this, a song keeps playing over and over in my mind.
"When peace like a river attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll,
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,
"It is well, it is well with my soul."
