'Morning everyone. I have quite a collection of teacups; some I received as shower and wedding gifts, some are from my first set of dishes, and I have others that belong to sets I have now. One cup and saucer was a house warming gift. Still others, I collected because I love them!
But what do you do when one of your favourite teacups gets broken? This one is an aqua blue rose pattern, called Veronica, made by Royal Albert and it is edged with 22kt. gold. I have not been able to use this one for a very long time because the handle somehow got broken off. It wasn't safe to pick up by the handle after I glued it back on. I've glued it on at least three times!
I didn't have the heart to throw the teacup out, so I decided to turn it into a candle holder.
Nothing fancy, just a teacup sitting on a side table with a little votive candle placed inside. I love the look of a teacup just sitting on a side table. I think it lends a certain coziness to the room. What do you think? What do you do with your broken china/teacups?
Have a lovely day everyone!
