September ~ The month when Summer nods her head to Autumn. ~ Author- Your Hostess
Welcome friends to my second Tea Time in September~
It's been a while since I shared any blue and because I found a blue teacup a while ago, I thought a blue post was in order today.
I will be sharing them with you in the coming weeks so be sure to keep coming by for tea.
This teacup is called Botanic Blue and is adorned with florals and a sweet little blue butterfly inside the cup; perfect for a late Summer day!
My blue Wedgwood Homes of Britain teacup and Blue Willow plate join the party, with a pretty blue tablecloth beneath it all.
Love this birdie topped teapot which is holding Earl Grey tea!
This little boy figurine has been around since my children were small and I thought he would add a touch of whimsy. See, he's giving thanks for his tea!
Some blueberry cheesecake and champagne grapes for a wee nosh.

the kettle sings,
and just on time,
the doorbell rings. ~ Unknown

Would you like to see a wee more blue? My friend Heather had a birthday not long ago and I had gifted her with a lovely Spode teacup. Now Martha, I know you will especially like this!
I took some photos of Heather's new teacup as well as a few of her other wonderful blue pieces. Enjoy....
She had a beautiful bowl of apples on the table and I had to take a shot of it too.
Then she brought out a couple of Spode teacups another friend had gifted her with and we set them beside my teacup.
Aren't they lovely! The sun was streaming in behind me so the light is playing havoc with the camera.
Thank you Heather for giving us a peek at some of your lovely blue and white china.
Remembering the victims and their families of 911 today!
I am delighted you have stopped by for tea today! Your presence always makes my tea party that much more special and I am happy to see all your tea things, whether you have shared them before or not. This tea party is all about sharing your joy of tea time and any thoughts you might have on the subject. You may be as creative, fancy, or as laid back with your tea time as you wish!
If you wish, you may do coffee instead of tea or the following is acceptable too:
Hot apple cider
Hot chocolate
Lemonade
Iced tea or iced coffee
Punch in a lovely bowl
No alcoholic beverages please.
The Tea Time Tuesday button on my sidebar is available for you to use in your post or place on your sidebar if you wish. A poem, tea quote, or scripture verse would be more than welcome! To be sure everyone has a visit, it would be nice if you visited the participant before and after your name.

ReplyDeleteDear Sandi,
ReplyDeleteI did it again! When linking, it requested my name and I put my name. When it came through, I saw it meant the name of my blog. Darn. I will get it right next time. If you have the ability to change it, you can please change it to Lady B's Time for Tea. Thank you.
Being a blue and white dish lover, I felt right at home at your posting. I would be happy to have my tea in any one of those cups. So charming.
That little boy...oh, so sweet. He is so darned precious!
Cheers, Ruthie
Just looked again. Heather's bowl is gorgeous too but it is that little boy grateful for his tea that is tugging at my heart.

Hello Sandi
ReplyDeleteI love how the sun is streaming across your blue and white china, and apples on the table. This is one colour of teacup I don't have but will look for, I do like blue.
At one of the tea shops I picked up the same teapot with the bird on top and put it back thinking how many tea pots do I need? I sometimes think I should go back and see if they still have it but I can at least enjoy yours.
Judith
Hi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteLove the blue teacups! I smiled over the blue and white spode teacups at Heather's because I gave those to her last year for her birthday.
Love the bowl with the apples too.
I hope to join you later if I can get a tea ready in time.
Lots of rain - I wouldn't be complaining about the drought anymore.
