Happy Birthday Joel

Today is my son Joel's birthday. He is my second son and he lives out in Vancouver, BC with his family so I won't be seeing him today, but he is close in my heart. This photo was taken last February when he and his family came to visit. This is Joel and his son Zachary along with me and my mother; four generations. I will be seeing Joel and his wife Carina and Zachary soon however as he is flying his dad and me out in a couple of months. Can't wait to see them!

Welcome to Pink Saturday

Good morning everyone~ Pink Saturday is here again and I want to thank Beverly for hosting.

Today I have a couple of pinks for you. Some of you may have already seen this on my Christmas blog http://christmaspudding09.blogspot.com/ but for those of you who haven't, here is a little teacup ornament which I will hang on my little Christmas tree in the dining room. I am doing a china tree this year and I have been keeping an eye out for tiny pieces of china. Turns out I didn't have to look far because most of it, I have right here in my home!

This little teacup and saucer is cream-coloured and sprinkled with flowers, and some of them are pink.

These are the Christmas plates I have on display in the dining room. Some might call them red but in reality, they really are pink! I found them at Winners last year.

I'm just getting started on my Christmas decorating. What about you, have you started yet?
