I'm Back With 'Thank Yous' and Winnings!

Good Morning Friends ~ Thank you everyone for your prayers and condolences. Hubby's niece is holding up well and looking forward to her little one on the way. We just found out that she is expecting their first baby and she's a couple months along. I'm glad she will have a part of her hubby to live on in this baby! It gives her something to live for.
A few weeks ago, I won two Giveaways!
My friend Clif at Musings of A Minister http://clif74blog.blogspot.com/ was having a book giveaway and I am the happy recipient of one of them! "The Gold Standard" by Mike Krzyewski is a book written especially for men involved in leadership; whether it be sports or ministry. I found out the day before Hubby's birthday that I had won, so it was a birthday present to him!
Clif's sweet wife Charlotte at Charlotte's Weblog http://char72.wordpress.com/ also had a book giveaway, and I won one of her books! I guess I was on a winning streak that week!
Hubby and I are loving a good read, and I am so pleased to have won both these books.
Hubby hasn't started reading his yet but he will be getting to it soon.
I, on the other hand, am loving this book by Charla Krupp, "How Not To Look Old." Her book is full of all kinds of wonderful advice on how to look younger. I am devouring her helpful tips and already I have started putting some of them into practice. For instance, she advices you not to wear sneakers with your jeans! It is much more youthful looking to wear heels or boots. She covers everything from nails and hair styles to the clothes in your closet. She says to get rid of the dark red lipstick and get yourself a lovely shade of pink. It is softer and prettier and gives you a more youthful appearance. I don't wear red lipstick anyway but I see lots of ladies who do! It's a fun book, and I almost feel like a teenager again with my Glamour magazine!

So, a BIG Thank You is going out to Clif and Charlotte today for these great books! Why not go check out these two lovely people and say "Hello?" I know they would love to have you stop by!
Hope you're all having a wonderful week. Take care everyone and the Lord bless you!
Hugs,
Sandi
