Happy Spring!

That is one good thing about this world...there are always sure to be more springs. ~ LM Montgomery - Anne of Avonlea

Spring is finally here and I am so happy to have the winter over with!

On the little cabinet are some lovely daffodils. I love these flowers, don't you? They are so dainty and golden yellow that one can't help but smile to see them.

When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
~ William Wordsworth

We are seeing more songbirds everyday and it is truly a delight to watch them out our back windows. This time of year, although we may still receive some cold and nasty weather, we know it is not going to last long.

I don't know about where you live, but here on PEI, we see a definite change in everyone's mood now that Spring is here.

Robin Williams once said, "Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Let's party!'"

I think that is how most of us feel here on the Canadian east coast once the winter comes to an end.

Since I have some pretty daffodils, I decided to bring out my Sadler teapot for a cup of tea. This one is called Spring Crocus.

My teacup is a Paragon.

Hubby has been helping me with the spring cleaning. My silver tea set was in dire need of polishing and he did such a super job.

He actually enjoys polishing the silver so I just let him go to it.
He did the silver tray today and all my little tea spoons are done. He is such a great help to me.

I am working on another post and when I have it ready, I will post it.

Have a lovely rest of the week, dear friends! I hope you are all excited with this new season here. God watch over you all and bless you!

  1. I do love daffodils. They are the first flowers I think of come Spring...that and tulips.
Send your hubby here to polish my silver when he is done there!
    Happy Thursday-xo Diana

  2. Lovely lovely daffodils! We can't grow them here in Florida, so I always enjoy seeing them wherever I can. I usually try to buy a pot of them in the grocery store when they have them. They are my sister's favorite flower, and her birthday is April 5th. My mother always baked her an angel food cake, and put a little glass of daffodils in the center, when we lived up north where you could find them. Now I bake her cake for her birthday and I always try to find some somewhere to carry on the tradition. That's coming up soon so I guess I'd better start looking! Love that teapot you shared. So perfect for spring!! I am glad you are finally getting some spring-like weather and seeing/hearing the birds again. Our bluebirds are nesting in the birdhouse. I can't wait to see "what develops". Have a blessed and wonderful spring!

  4. Hi Sandi, It's been a long cold winter. We're still getting snow in the forecast. What a beautiful Spring teapot. Yesterday, a friend who is moving, giving up her home, gave me a Sadler, Blue Willow with gold trim on it. That made my day.
Hope all is well with you.
    Happy Spring, Thelma xo

  5. Love your pitcher of daffodils! Our spring has sprung around here too. Snow is melting. Not seeing many birds where we are, but Canada geese have been honking overhead, which is a complete delight this time year. I'm waiting to hear my first robin of the season. Sandi, your photos are beautiful. Love the Spring Crocus teapot - what a beauty. Your hubby makes a wonderful butler doing all that polishing of silver. It looks lovely on display. Wishing you a beautiful weekend! Sending heart hugs, Brenda xo

  6. Your cheery tea time is the perfect way to welcome spring! Yellow is one of my favourite colours so I'm loving the Paragon teacup!

Can you please ask your hubby to polish my silver tea set? I can't even remember the last time it was shiny and silver!
