No Place Like Home

"Home, the spot of earth supremely blest,
A dearer, sweeter spot than all the rest." ~ Robert Montgomery

Hello my lovely friends and welcome to No Place Like Home; a blog party where you are invited to share all your home and garden posts. A place to share your imagination, wonderful ideas and gifts with others.

The other day I shared a quiet and reflective tea time featuring one of my new teacups. If you missed that post, please click here

I also shared a sugar cookie recipe which you can find here.

Last week's party served up a wonderful variety of tips, ideas and recipes and I am honoured that you linked up to my party. You are a wonderfully talented group of ladies!

I'm sorry I don't have any features for you today because I was under the weather most of the weekend.

Now let's see what you are creating in your home to make it a cozy place to come home to for your family, your friends, and yourself.

Lord, this humble house we'd keep
Sweet with play and calm with sleep.
Help us so that we may give
Beauty to the lives we live.
Let Thy love and let Thy grace
Shine upon our dwelling place. - Edgar A. Guest

  1. Sandi, I'm sorry you were under the weather. I was quite literally "under the weather" when it was so hot and humid for so long, but now that fall is "falling" I will be much healthier and happier!

  8. My dear Sandi,
It has been way too long since I was last over for a visit. I'm sorry you had a bad week. I understand, all too well, how that goes. My folks were just over on your Island a couple of weeks ago. They raved about it's beauty, as I too well remember. I didn't know you were doing a party. I'll be back later and share my first little project that I've done in over 6 months! Life hasn't been as easy as I would've liked, but still I rise. :)
    Happy September to you!
    Hugs

  12. Hi Sandi!
I have looked so forward to posting a teatime post so I could share it with you and the dear tea ladies who were such a big part of my early blogging days. My focus in writing has morphed some, so weekly teatime posts are not the norm. But how I miss the respite in my busier new writing days. However, the young homeschool student I mentor in literature and writing shares my love of teatime and we post our parties when appropriate. But, as I see how Tuesday teatime has truly become broader in scope as No Place Like Home, I may post more regularly of my devotionals and inspirational reading related articles. Always a sigh of joy when I see your tea things set out and those cookies. I've been experimenting with some paleo and more gluten free goodies. May have to prep one of my new concoctions for a future post with the recipe included. Blessings dear lady!
    Joy!

  18. Hi Sandi. First thanks for the party. And thanks for coming over to my
Vacuum review post. Just to let you know I plan on writing a post next week about Bissel verses Dirt Devil. They are more mid priced. The dirt devil does not pick up on bare floors. (I have one) The Bissel does pick up on bare floors great. That is the one I would buy when I shop again.
Check out my post next Tuesday!
