The other day I shared with you some changes I made in my living room decor. The addition of a favourite colour has me feeling more at home with the room. Aqua is indeed right up there with pink and green as favourite colours of mine.
I had purchased new drapery panels and had new pillows made. I have a little more tweaking to do but you get the idea.
I also enjoyed a cup of tea in my vintage teacup, Veronica, which was a shower gift from my mother when I got married. Notice the aqua blue roses!
If you missed this post, you may view it here.
Once again, you have amazed me with your creations and ideas. You are a very talented group of ladies. I have broken down the posts into categories for my features and there are a lot of features today. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteYour living room looks cozy for a gathering of friends or family Sandi. Is that a gas fireplace? We have one in the family room in the basement but I'd sure like one upstairs as well even if just for ambience.
ReplyDeleteI miss the soft look of lace and curtains, we had California shutters installed when the new windows were put in but at least they're easy to clean
Have a great week!

Hi Sandi, Your home is lovely! You are a homemaker extraordinaire. Even though your blogs are different, you and Martha from Lines from Linderhof remind me of each other in that you take time to make a house a home; you make things lovely, and you create good things to eat, and you decorate...homemaking and family is your passion.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings, Beth
Why, that's a lovely compliment, Beth, thank you. I admire Martha a great deal!
DeleteSandi - your room is gorgeous - and your new touches of aqua are perfect there!
ReplyDeleteI ♥ your aqua rose chintz teacup - and having it perfect and a cherished item makes it even better! I think if you placed a white doily and left it next to that pretty turqoise aqua bowl on your white round coffee table it would act as a perfect decor item, too. : - )
GREAT featured bloggers this week, wow! I am SO glad to be able to share in the fun today - haven't been able to blog much lately and it is so nice to be back! Thank you for hosting, it is greatly appreciated. Hugs. ♥
Hi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteWhen I heard that CBC is creating a reboot of our beloved Anne of Green Gables series which will air next year, I thought of you. I have mixed feelings about this...
Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful week!
Margie, I have mixed feelings about a new Anne of Green Gables too. I can't imagine anyone taking Megan Follows' place. She was superb!
DeleteYour living room is very fresh and bright - just right in fact. My favourite colours are pink and blue and I also like the aqua shades - strangely I don't have a lot of them in my house, a little aqua in the lounge and the carpet is blue but that's it. I love your tea cup and must say the trio in your header is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDiana
I did not realize that you, too, are a fan of aqua! I love the new panels and pillows!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi! I've been away and I've missed your pretty blog so much! I love aqua and pink too, and must have pinned hundreds of things on Pinterest, just because they are aqua and pink. Gorgeous room. I bet you love relaxing there. Happy to be home and sharing with you again. Love, Mimi xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteOh your new panels are so bright and fresh with the pretty matching pillows. Love your Veronica teacup too! So pretty! Beautiful features this week as well. So sorry I am late linking up to your lovely party. Have a Wonderful Week My Dear Friend! Karen
Good morning, Sandi. It's a treat to be able to link to your party after such a long blogging 'drought'. Your new curtain panels are lovely, and I can see from the teacup that you surround yourself with the colours you love. Your living room is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am loving yhour living room... the window treatments are fabulous... I just ordered white embrodered sheers for our bedroom to use over the blinds....I am really wanting to redo the paint color in there... it has been dark green long enoough... very dated... icy blue is really catching my eye!!!!! Loving your blue, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, Sandi! I love your curtain fabric and how you ordered an extra panel to make pillows from. The entire room is lovely and so is the teacup! I had never seen one like that.
ReplyDeleteWe have that in common too Sandi! My two fav colors are pink and aqua! Beautiful cup with the aqua roses! I like those new curtains too! Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting the party, Sandi. It's my first visit. I'll be back to get some tea ideas. My friend is hosting a Downton Abbey tea in a few weeks!
