"Time spent in the company of a friend is like a golden moment in our day." ~ Ron Lessin
Hello dear ones and welcome to Tea Time!
Hubby and I are on vacation; yay! So, for the next several weeks we will be on the go quite bit and I will most likely be slower getting around for my visits. Our middle son will be coming home for a visit during this time too. So, please bear with me.
For our tea today, I have brought out some of my Royal Albert china.
I have set them out on the coffee table. The room is very bright when the sun is shining and oftentimes, it is hard to take pictures.

Shall we drink to Friendship?
My beautiful and fragrant roses are going through a dry spell and they have stopped blooming, so I picked up a bouquet at the grocery store.
Beautiful as they are, they have no fragrance.
No matter; tea will make it better! I love how the camera caught the light just so and there is a lovely pink hue in the picture.
I am always delighted to look out the window and watch my little goldfinches at the bird feeder. These little beauties sure enjoy sunflower seeds!

Good Morning, Sandi! Enjoy your vacation! You have some beautiful pieces of Royal Albert. I adore cucumber sandwiches and strawberries -- too of my favorite things. I'm always disappointed when my roses don't smell like roses. I think that must be leftover from my childhood when Granny always had roses that had the most wonderful fragrance. Tea does help! Happy Monday, Happy Tea Day and thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi. I hope you have a marvelous break! Isn't it nice to have family around! Some of my favorite Royal Albert patterns there...lovely! Pink is always perfect for tea. Have a wonderful break!

Sandi:
ReplyDeleteDo have a wonderful vacation. I totally understand busy as this week and last week we are getting close to closing day at my shop and it has been a zoo. Today 3 people will be there to pick up antique furniture. It has gone really well. This posting you have done is really sweet and I love your china. The pattern is lovely and fresh. In the future I hope to enjoy having real time to do my blog. In one sense I enjoy my new facebook page just as much as I can just drop old photos on it and go. I hope you have a very wonderful and relaxing time!
Sandi,
ReplyDeleteHello, dear friend!!

Your tea table set with your Royal Albert pieces is so sweet, dear Sandi. I must admit that the Summer teacup is one of my favorites of yours.
ReplyDeleteHave fun being on vacation with your hubby and enjoy your visit with your middle son. Love and blessings are sent to you.
Your Table is so lovely and inviting...the Lavender Rose tea sets are so charming... I would be happy sipping out of any of your cups especially with a cucumber sandwich...Don't you just enjoy them best with the crusts off ( ha ha) This is such a very pretty post..The pictures are like teatime eye candy...especially the roses... my roses didn't fair very well and the blossom are very small, so I'm snipping them in bud to keep the nourishment on the plant... but I''m so enjoying you beauties... Thanks for sharing , sweet lady...hugs
ReplyDeleteOh, enjoy your vacation Sandi, and especially seeing your son! I've never seen the cosmos cup before; it's so pretty. Same with the Summer cup. And of course the Lavender Rose is always gorgeous. Thanks for hosting, as always! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tea!! Elegance at its best!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi! You live in a beautiful part of the world to enjoy vacations! A time to enjoy your surrounding beauty. Pink china always feels like summer and yours is so beautiful! Your tea sandwich looks so good I need to make one for myself! Thank you for hosting and wishing you a very relaxing vacation!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteI do love Summer too! Your Lavender Rose china is very beautiful. I have a trio and would like to collect more. It is such a pretty pattern. Have a wonderful holiday! I am wondering if you are coming out to the west coast to see your son. It has been so very warm here. Happy Tea Day Sweet Friend and Thank you for hosting! Karen
so pretty and delicate. Cucumber sandwiches are such a British thing and yummy!
ReplyDeleteCucumber sandwiches has a real nice memory for me now.. it is simple and refreshing. I loved it. I like your tea cups, royal albert tea are really pretty :-) I'm sure that tea at your table is a real delight!
ReplyDeleteI do believe cucumber sandwiches are a favorite with most people. So fresh, crisp, and creamy all at once. They are always the first to be eaten at our parties. I agree with you about roses. I love the scent of the old fashioned ones but I love how all of them look. They are my number one favorite flower (followed by pansies and daisies). Your photos are always so beautiful. I really must work on my composition and photography skills!
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful tea sets, especially RA's Lavender Rose. Have a wonderful vacation with your family!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy a lovely vacation and time with your son as well!
You do have lots of pretty teacups...always nice to see your growing collection.
Thanks for hosting,
Carolyn
Sandi, your tea party is heavenly! I joined the party with my simple tablescape. Have a lovely vacation!
ReplyDeleteLovely post . All so very pretty . I love cucumber sandwiches I had one for lunch the other day . Thanks for sharing . Have a good vacation .
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi! I hope you are having a great vacation! Lavender rose is always a favorite (it is actually in my post for this week too) as is your lovely summer set :). My mom also prefers the savories to the sweets--but I tend to always lean towards the sweet!
ReplyDeleteHello Sandi
ReplyDeleteI've not had my Lavender Rose teapot out for a while, it's too big for two but it will always be my favourite. A lovely pink and white tea this week and I hope you have a great vacation. We're off for a week on Saturday with family to a rented cottage and I'm looking forward to our time together.
Hi Sandi, Such beautiful teacups but my favorite is the Lavender Rose pattern, so beautiful! I always enjoy your quotes. Have a lovely vacation and time spent with family.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for hosting and have a great week,
Gina
You have such a lovely collection of china. It is extra nice when collections get used and appreciated. Yay for you to have a sun room to enjoy them in. Have fun this week!
ReplyDeleteOh what fun! I'm so glad I found another Islander blogger :) You are inspiring me to get back to blogging :)
ReplyDeleteHello Sandi,
ReplyDeleteYou always set the most beautiful tea tables. Enjoy your vacation.
Janet
What a lovely teatime! I have the Lavender Rose china set, too - from our wedding, and other gifts. It's so dainty and feminine! Hope you are enjoying your vacation.
ReplyDeleteLovely! My favorite is the cup with the thatched cottage on it, I'm searching for something like that for a friend. Last year I was quite fortunate to find a nearly full set of 'Evening Star' and I've so enjoyed including it in my table settings!
ReplyDeleteThis soft and simple color palette looks so inviting! And yes, I do sometimes prefer a tea sandwich to a sweet. (Lots of *tomato* sandwiches are being eaten around here lately, courtesy of my dad's garden abundance!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Oh I love goldfinches. It is our state bird. Have a safe and happy vacation.
ReplyDeleteSandi, beautiful, as always! And, yes, I prefer tea sandwiches over sweets, any day. At afternoon tea, I have the sandwiches and scones and take the sweet treats home to my husband. I like to make my desserts with a lot less sugar.
ReplyDeleteOh, almost forgot, Sandi -- have a lovely vacation!
ReplyDeleteSandi, so glad that you got to get away! Enjoy yourselves!! Love your pretty teaset and I love the brightness in the room. I truly am a sunshine girl. My roses are in a dry spell as well. The sandwich sounds yummy and very refreshing! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I love that birdfeeder. Never seen one like that before. It looks like it would really keep the squirrels out. And Sandi...wishing you and your hubby and son a beautiful time together. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi, Ioved seeing your goldfinches! Enjoy your vacation. I imagine you'll be having a few walks on the beach. :)
ReplyDeleteYour Lavender Rose pattern is very elegant and feminine. I just love it!
Blessings, Beth
