"Decide that joy is the hue you want your heart to be. Then start making the little and large choices that over time will paint your heart happy" ~ Thomas Kinkade
Welcome to Tea Time, my lovely friends!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend. October is certainly starting out to be a beautiful month here on the Island.
A few weeks ago my niece crocheted this fifteen inch doilie for me called Pineapple Blossom. Isn't it pretty!
Pretty things make me happy, how about you? Just a little touch of loveliness here and there in your home can go a long way in making your home a cozy place to be. A mercury glass pumpkin helps!
This teacup is one I have shared before but I haven't used it in a while. Some of you may not have seen it.
I love the colour aqua and all the different hues of it. Whether robin egg blue, teal, or turquoise, these are all hues of this beautiful shade.
As you can see from the photo, my Royal Albert teacup is called Veronica and it is so pretty with delightful aqua hued roses and gold trim. A cluster of roses adorn the inside of the cup as well.
My mother gifted me with this teacup for a shower gift when I got married. We both love the colour aqua as does my Auntie P. Must be a family thing.
Also joining the party is my Aynsley teacup dressed in turquoise and leaves of gold inside the cup.
These sets look splendid together, don't they? And tea tastes delicious in them both. There is nothing like a hot cup of tea sipped from a china teacup!
"Life is like a teacup to be filled to the brim and enjoyed with friends."~ Unknown
Pretty teacups filled with tea and tea biscuits are just right for a little respite.
The last few weeks I have been using quotes from a lovely little book gifted to me by a dear friend. If you like Thomas Kinkade's work, then you will enjoy this book called A Book of Joy.
It is filled with page after page of his gorgeous paintings and lovely quotes and poetry.
A must have for the romantic in me!
Next week I am hosting A Pink Tea in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please feel free to use my button for your post.
When I scheduled this tea party I had forgotten that it is our Thanksgiving weekend. Oh, well, I will just have to get it ready early. I invite you to join me for this special tea party.
Thank you for visiting today and if you have a special teacup/teapot or coffee mug that you would like to share, please link up and I will be happy to come and visit you. Wishing you all a beautiful day.

Oh Sandi, lucky lady to have a niece who crochets such lovely wee little things for you. Yes, nice things make me happy as well and they can be little nice things they don't have to be big.
ReplyDeleteA good memory to have this tea cup as a wedding gift. I remember years ago everyone (girls) got tea cups for showers, birthdays and wedding gifts.
Have a wonderful week.
Hi Ssndi,
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet gift of the doiley your niece made for you! Doileys and teacups go so well together. Your two teacups are so beautiful, love the colors. Thank you for hosting your tea party and wishing you a good week.
Blessings..Nancy
Lovely! LOVELY! Those blues are the bees knees, mi'dear! I do love Royal Albert designs - and their traditional shape - so feminine. But, that thick blue shade on your Ansley is grand! Their shapes are so different but they look lovely together. And, what a wonderful gift of the crocheted doilie - wonderful job and a cherished gift, I'm sure. I have many that my grandmother made and treasure them. Always love your quotes - an inspiration each week.
ReplyDeleteJoy!
