"Having a place to go - is a home.
Having someone love you - is a family.
Having both is a blessing." ~ Donna Hedges
Welcome to my HOME, dear friends!
I hope your week is off to a wonderful start. I have been super busy this week, celebrating an anniversary and my hubby's birthday. I am still going to physio twice a week and trying to get my posts up as well as visiting you all. So I am slow getting around for my visits. Please be patient with me.
HOME is where the heart is.
Our home sits in a very windy spot and I can't hang the type of wreath on my front door that I would like because the wind would destroy it in no time. So I have this old floral wreath which I have been using the past few years. I simply change it up every year.
This year I decided to keep it really simple because the wind really does a job on it. I added a simple gold ribbon, tied a bow, and tucked it in here and there.
And here it is hanging on my yellow door.
Hopefully it will stand up. I guess we'll see.
This week I also shared my mother's Lavender Rose china at my tea party. You can see more of this tea in my previous post.
Now, on to some posts that caught my eye last week. What wonderful posts you shared and again it was difficult to choose some favourites.
Once again Janet @ Rosemary and Thyme has wowed me with her Spring tablescape. I absolutely adore her Spode china! The roses and silverware as well as the lovely linens make this tablescape irresistible!
I really liked Kitty's idea of serving tortilla chips around the brim of a sombrero. She is a very creative cook.
Lois @ Creative Chaos created this fabulous soup. I would love a bowl of it. Love the rich green colour of the spinach.
Sherry @ The Charm of Home created this lovely May Day cone. I love the white tulips and script-y cone adorned with the bee. So pretty!
Kathy @ A Delightsome Life created this adorable birdfeeder chandelier. I think this is sheer genius and our little feathered friends will love it.
Karen @ Karen's Cottage and Castle shared some scrumptious cherry blossoms fresh off her tree and filled this wonderful Old English Roses pitcher with them. Can you imagine the scent!
Lisa @ Helene's Legacy inspired me with her cozy Vintage French Style Bedroom. I love her toile and lace pillows as well as the other lovely elements she added. She has a wonderful ceiling which was her inspiration.
Thank you ladies.
I am simply delighted that you have stopped by today! I hope you have enjoyed the features and my share as well. If you have something HOME related, I would love it if you linked up with me.
And to all you moms out there, Happy Mother's Day!

Hello Sandi. Your wreath is so pretty and refreshing. Thanks so much or featuring my table setting. I am so happy and grateful. I truly enjoy your parties. Great features.
ReplyDeleteSandi, Thank you so much for featuring my French-inspired bedroom! Today I'm sharing what I've done in my living room to add vintage style. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mothers Day Sandi! Such pretty features. Everything looks so fresh and Spinggy! Touring Green Gables with you. I watched the Anne of Green Gables movies over and over. Aren't they fabulous? Isn't Megan Follows the perfect Anne?

ReplyDeleteHi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteYour wreath looks lovely! I recycled my last year's wreath too for summer. Thank you for featuring my May Day Cone. I appreciate it. Thank you for hosting and for joining me at Home Sweet Home!

Hello Sandi,
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're feeling better! We have had some very strong winds from time to time - When I had my Easter egg wreath up I came home and laughed - I was hunting eggs! Sometimes all you can do is laugh. So very honored you liked and shared my candelier bird feeder. I am actually going to put it back out - now that the rain is behind us, until Saturday - always a Delight to join your party,
Kathy
Sandi, I was so intrigued by the posts you hilighted that I forgot to leave you a comment when I was here the first time! Your wreath looks very pretty against your yellow door! I hope it doesn't blow away. I have a sun issue on my door and things fade or dry quickly. Thank you for hosting! Linda
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi,we get a lot of wind where I live too, but my glass storm door holds the wreaths in place!
ReplyDeleteI love the china pattern. My friend was given a few plates and cup and saucers in the same pattern and it was her grandmother's. It's so pretty.
Hey Sandi...just dashing out this morning but wanted to shoot you off a quick note to wish you a beautiful day out there. I hope Mother's Day for you was great. Hugs from my heart to yours.
ReplyDeleteI really love your wreath! Marvelous features - I appreciate you featuring my candelabra bird feeder. Interestingly, only Cardinals are interested at the moment! I may need to put out additional feeders!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
Kathy
