I hope you are all enjoying this first official week of the new season! Are you ready for some pink?
It's no secret that I love flowers; especially roses! These are the very first blooms from my bushes.
Aren't they pretty?
Roses under lace with a bit of Bridal Wreath tucked in here and there....Can you smell them? They have the most luscious, heavenly scent!
I love every fluffy, frilly petal and I look forward to having them outside my window as well as in bowls and vases around my home for the Summer months. Ah, Summer, you gotta love it!
I also have a couple of pretty teacups which I found while out thrifting. I featured both of these teacups at my Summer Tea Party this past week which you can see in my previous post....
This cup is called Summer made by Royal Albert. Isn't the English cottage simply charming?
And this is a vintage Bavaria-Schumann cup sitting on some pretty plates. The teacup is called Bridal Rose.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and I hope you will visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for lots more swoon-worthy pink. Have a delightful weekend everyone!
Sharing from my heart~ Sandi

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pink roses and gorgeous tea cups~two of my very favorite things!! Thank you for sharing your pretties with us today! Sending loads of love to you~Vicki
Hmmm, "National Pink Day", really? Sandi, the Roses are absolutely gorgeous...I love old fashioned roses. The fragrance is always so much sweeter. We have just recently moved and I am still working on adding flowers to my garden...down here in Florida the flora and fauna is different than in PEI, I am certain. Some things just don't grow here, like Peonies and Lilacs and Lavender. But we learn to adapt and enjoy what God provides...there is beauty everywhere if we just open our eyes and look for it! Thank you for this refreshing moment of pausing to smell the roses today!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing roses anywhere you find them. We are due our first 100 degree day Sunday so the roses will be no longer around here.

I have never had a desire to have teapot like that until I saw yours. They are amazing thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi from a fellow Canadian way out on the Alberta prairie. I found your blog on Lines from Linderhof and visit your site now and again. We have a lot in commom including our faith ... beauty, flowers and tea cups. The last time I visited your site I had just posted my Lemon-glazed Blueberry cupcake recipe and in the background is an exquisite tea cup I bought at a thrift store. It has a tiny chip on the bottom of the saucer but that doesn't bother me. Anne of GG was my close friend through her books when I was young. I still hope to visit PEI with my girls and grandgirls someday. Blessings, Judy
ReplyDeleteDear flower girl,
ReplyDeleteI think you would love a vacation to Victoria, where you could saunter through the Bouchardt Gardens for hours...I did!
Tammy
The rose blooms are so pretty Sandi and I love your dishes! Pink- such a happy color!
ReplyDeleteGood day, Sandi! The roses are exquisite...they are so frilly they almost look like peonies. Oh, and what is a rose without its fragrance...I'm so happy you are able to experience such lovliness.
ReplyDeleteYour new little tea cups are delightful. I like their footing very much. Each distinctly pretty.
Blessings for a wonderful day,
Marianne
