This has long been one of my favourite scriptures in the Bible.
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." ~ Isaiah 40:31
We all go through times of suffering and oftentimes we feel alone in our struggles but do not fear! The Lord is watching over you; you're never alone! He will give you the strength to get through whatever it is you're facing.
I love what Mary at Pile of Smiles ~ http://pileofsmiles.blogspot.com/ shared with us last week. The gist of her post was summed up with these three points from a book she had been reading...
When God disciplines His children; three things happen:
1. It's painful temporarily.
2. A blessing is promised from it.
3. In the end, it leads to a purpose.
Thank you Mary for sharing those three points because it sure helps to put things into perspective. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend everyone.
Sharing from my heart~ Sandi

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that beautiful photo with the Scripture :) :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
p.s. I'm really starting to commit Scripture to memory this year!!
Scripture is wonderful. Our faith is increased by it. If we feel that God is far away or we feel that life is getting us down, we can turn to His Word for strength and renewal of faith. Thank you for bringing that point home so clearly. God bless, Dr. Bobbi
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful verse to read so late at night.
