What is it about the colour pink that gets our hearts going pitter patter! Well, speaking for myself, I find it to be a very soothing colour. It's soft, feminine, and dreamy.
Pink is the colour of universal love. It is a quiet colour. A pink carnation means, "I will never forget you."
I can't imagine a world without pink, can you?
Imagine a sunrise or a sunset without a pink sky...this photo was taken on our fair Island.
These pink tulips I picked up at the grocery store for $3 a bundle. Aren't they pretty?
And there is no pink more precious than this pink; my little granddaughter! Jenna-Lynn is wearing her pink too! She is seven weeks old and still weighs only seven pounds. She's a tiny little girl and still isn't quite fitting into her newborn sleepers!
I apologize for showing you yet another picture of her, but I can't help myself! She is so sweet and she is my first granddaughter; the first girl to be born into our family after my three sons and four grandsons; seven darling boys! I'm a proud Nanny so I have bragging rights!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful pink weekend. Be sure to visit Beverly and all her participants ~ http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/
Please join me on Monday for my Tea Time Tuesday party when I will be celebrating Tea Time Tuesday's first Anniversary/Birthday.

I have a feeling that I've just seen my favorite pink for this Pink Saturday. What a sweet little baby your granddaughter is! I love when babies sleep with their arms out like that, like they don't have a care in the world!

ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings, Beth
Such an adorable little sweetheart. Show her off as much as you want. Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteGrandmas are supposed to be proud and show off their grandbabies, so no worries about that.
ReplyDeleteFunny that you talked about loving pink. When I was a child, I hated pink. I clearly remember when I was 11 or 12 and getting into a verbal disagreement with my mom because she wanted to buy me a pastel pink shirt and I was NOT a pastel pink girl. Our fight was so bad the sales girl asked if we were okay. That's funny now, especially since I buy everything pink as an adult. Yet obviously it wasn't so funny then.
Now with your granddaughter, you'll hopefully have someone to share your love of pink with!
Awww I think you've earned some bragging rights for your precious granddaughter! Congrats. Oh I just love those pink tulips - my absolute favorite flower!
ReplyDeleteHappy PS,
Jacalyn
I would say that is one precious bundle of pink. Congratulations. Many Happy Pink Days ahead. ginger
ReplyDeleteYour little grand girl is ADORABLE!!! I hope you get to hold her soon! You are lucky to have so many grands....I have two!
ReplyDeleteMy grand girl ( 4 1/2) has always called me Nana....just recently, she's been calling me Nanny! I grinned when I saw you use that term. I love being a Nanny, too!
Have a great Pink Saturday!!
