My post today will be short and sweet because I have been under the weather all week.
I will likely be slow in getting around to my visits, depending on how I'm feeling, so please be patient with me!
When we become born again, God's Spirit comes to reside within us and we become His child.
In the beginning, we are like a tiny rosebud with our petals folded tightly together. But in time, with the care only the Gardener can give us, we open up into a beautiful full blown rose.
Once we are in full bloom, we ought to leave a sweet fragrance wherever we go. It is this sweet fragrance which brings glory to Him.
It is God's desire to make all things beautiful, and that includes you and me!
Note: Please join me on Tuesday for Tea Time Tuesday.
Sharing from my heart~ Sandi

Oh, yes - that is my favorite verse, too! The Lord gave it to me right after I was saved 33 years ago. Your words share a beautiful picture of how God is our Gardener and we are the growing rose, someday to be complete, when our Saviour returns for us.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will be feeling better soon, Sandi.
Blessings to you,
Laurie

It is short and it is sweet! I'm sorry you are not feeling well. Your Hubby's favorite verse is a good one. Your insight into that verse is excellent and the rose is beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to post this even while you are feeling bad. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful analogy! I'm so glad that He is faithful and we can be sure that He will complete what He has begun. Great post!

Praying you're feeling better now sister Sandi. Beautiful reminder here today. We can't bloom if we don't allow the Gardener to do the necessary pruning. I'm glad that the Gardener constantly is working in me. Take care and God bless.

Philippians 1:6 has been my Life Verse for some 50 plus years now!!! Love that verse and it is so true. It is ALL His work all He wants from us is willingness.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing this. I hope you are feeling better soon. I am praying for you!
Thank you, Sandi. Once as a teen my mom put a vase with a yellow rose bud on my dresser when I was going through a difficult time.
ReplyDeleteGod spoke to me through it about all that I had to look forward to in my life. My life was just beginning to unfold like the rose.
You brought back a memory.
