Once again, Pink Saturday has rolled around and we have all gathered at Beverly's "How Sweet the Sound" to show off our pink wares.
Today I would like to start my pink post off outside with one of my bleeding heart bushes. The blooms are so pretty but unfortunately they don't last very long. We have planted another which is supposed to bloom all summer.
Next, I'll finish up in the laundry/half-bath with this little pink-frocked whisk broom.
Up in the living room, awaits another little sand-clown. He is hiding on the base of the table over in the corner. But he doesn't like it there. So....He jumps up onto the mantle and decides he likes it there better. He can see everything from this vantage point! He reminds me of my hubby; he doesn't like to miss anything!!
I will end my pink post today with two plates my Aunt Judy gave me. This little plate is a Johnson Bros. plate which she had in her possession for quite some time and she thought I might like to have it. It is about 6 1/4 inches in diameter and it is called, "English Gardens." I think it's adorable!
My aunt has two homes; one is in New Brunswick, Canada, and the other is in Oklahoma. {I will have to tell you the story behind that someday. My uncle and she share a unique love story!} This last plate is a Limoges plate made in France, which she found at a garage sale down in Oklahoma. She thought of me when she saw it, and brought it all the way back to Canada for me. Wasn't that sweet of her?
Well, my pink friends, those are my pinks for another week. Please go and take a peek at the other pinkie wares out there by clicking on the link http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ or the Pink Saturday button on my sidebar. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Love all of your adorable pinks!

When I have a little more time, I'll read more of your charming & interesting blog. Our bleeding heart still has a few flowers hanging on. But it is VERY large. Someone told me they reseed themselves. Have yours? Or did you plant a new one? Thanks for commenting on my hostas....
ReplyDeleteThe plates are so pretty, Sandi. I love your little sand clown! Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteGosh I love that sand clown - isn't that the cutest? Of course bleeding hearts are lovely too, they are so graceful with their arching back and pink hearts dripping beneath.

ReplyDeleteSandi ~ Thanks for visiting me. I can't believe your aunt found the plate at a garage sale. I am originally from Okla. Where does your aunt live?
ReplyDeleteHappy PS!
Oh YUMMY!!! I love that last plate......sooo pretty. I want a pink bleeding heart. I didn't even know they came in pink until the blogworld.

The plates are wonderful. The little clown is cute. Did you say a sand clown? He is better on the mantle, which is a pretty one.
ReplyDeleteI also have a bleeding heart and it blooms all summer. It is good for area. I water it but it does well in the heat with minimal water.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Jennifer
