Spiritual Sundays and Favourite Bible Verse Link Party

Hello everyone~ Today I am linking with Charlotte and Ginger at Spiritual Sundays http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/

and Cindy at I Owe It All To Him http://ioweitalltohim.blogspot.com/
for her link party to share my one of my favourite Bible verses. I have many favourite verses but this one has helped me through some tough times.

I can't take credit for this photo but I did apply the verse to it.

Whenever my hubby and I are out at the beach, we often see an eagle or two soaring overhead.
It is a most wonderful sight because we don't have many eagles on the Island. We are always in awe whenever we see one. They are such majestic birds, flying freely up there in the sky; so powerful and so in control.

They always bring to mind one of my favourite verses from Isaiah 40:31~ "Those who hope in the Lord, they will soar on wings as eagles."

We all have at one time or another gone through a difficult time. Trials are just a part of life. But it's how we handle the trial that shows us what we're made of.

Adversity does not perfect character. It reveals character. It exposes what is happening inside of us.

Oftentimes, we are simply too weak to do much on our own. We must turn to God who knows the end result and brings every trial whether big or small into a blessing which will enable us to be better and stronger than we were before. He always has our best interest at heart. We must learn to trust Him and give Him praise for He is taking care of us!

Pink Saturday ~ Welcome

Hello bloggerettes and welcome to my Pink Saturday post.

Well, believe it or not, this week I don't have anything new to share with you so I decided to dig into my archives and share these with you.
This ceramic bonnet was a project I did back in the early nineties, using a dry-brushing technique. It hangs in the master bedroom.

It has a pink satin ribbon and rose adorning it.

This adorable angel holding her teddy bear is also in the bedroom. She was a birthday gift from my youngest son a few years ago. As you can see, she has iridescent pink on her wings. There is also some pink on her frock and her blankie. She has pink posies in her hair too.

Those are my pink offerings for this week. Now please take some time to go visit our gracious hostess Beverly http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/
for more pinks. Thanks for stopping by and I bid you all a beautiful pink weekend.
