Tea Things Tuesdays

Hello everyone~ Today I am once again joining Kim @ Shabby, Pink, and Pretty http://shabbypinkandpretty.blogspot.com/ for Tea Things Tuesdays.
What could be nicer than a hot cup of tea on a cold day?

I love teacups and teapots and I have just a few of them! I also have this little miniature tea set which Hubby got me a while ago. I am saving it for a little granddaughter, should one come along some day.
For Tea Things Tuesdays, I decided to share something a little different. I thought the tea set would be cute on the Christmas tree this year, so I have glued the china together and tied on ribbon for hanging them. I chose a glue that will be no problem to remove.
Love the tea pot.Ooops! This is just another little teacup on the tree which isn't a part of the set, but thought I would share it with you too.

I will share my little teacup Christmas tree too. It is just a miniature tree which I have decorated with pink beads and rhinestones and set in one of my Rose Chintz teacups, for those of you who haven't seen it before.

Now, let's sit and have a cup of tea after all that, shall we? This little snack set I got last summer in a little shop at the hospital while I was visiting my mother.
I have never seen one of these before so of course I had to have one; especially since it is red! It goes very well with my red teapot and sugar bowl. I love shortbread with tea this time of year, don't you?Thank you for coming by today and I hope you all have a wonderful day. Be sure to stop and have a cup of tea during your hectic schedule. It will do wonders to relieve your stress level!
This will be my last post for Tea Things Tuesdays as Kim will be stopping the parties next week. My son will be home next week so I won't be participating. I would like to wish each of you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

A Beautiful Morning To You All!

Hello and good morning friends~ We had a very busy weekend and then yesterday the weather had us cooped up for most of the day. It was the coldest day of the season so it was nice to curl up in front of the fire and sip on hot cups of tea and enjoy the quiet.

We had our first snowfall yesterday and this is one of the scenes out my back window. The birdhouse which sits on the clothesline pole is looking very wintery today. The sun is shining and the world looks brighter with its fresh blanket of white snow. I'm sure all the little kiddies are happy that now it really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I was just over visiting my new friend Elaine at http://athomewithpurvail.blogspot.com/ and she is having a Giveaway! Three sheets of these wonderful vintage images that can be used all sorts of ways. The drawing takes place on December 12th, so if you're wanting these, better get over there and get yourself signed up.

I have finally finished all the decorating I'm going to do this year. My hubby and I are heading out west after Christmas to visit my middle son and his family, so I didn't decorate quite as much as I normally do. I thought it best not to have too much to put away when we get back from our trip. I did decorate the chandelier however. I wasn't going to but changed my mind. I'm glad I did now because it really does make the dining room look more festive. I love all the reds, and the greenery, and the twinkle of little lights behind the lace.

My Auntie Phyllis is home now and recovering from her heart attack and surgery. I am so very thankful that she is alright! Many prayers have gone up for her and I thank you all for that! God is good!

Well, I hope you all have a beautiful day filled with laughter and love. God bless you all!
